Woody's Tupelo

Greetings, I lived overseas for 30 years. I am from Tupelo. I had never been to Woody's until last weekend. I went with friends. As far as I experienced, I simply don't know what the few negative reviews were about. I had a lovely dining experience. The meal was great. Ambiance was calm & subdued. Server was extremely helpful, great with service & kindness. I will be returning! I truly enjoyed Woody's, as did my friends!

I was raised in Tupelo and last week I was in town to visit for several days, for the first time in as many years. I ordered my filet a Pittsburg medium and it came out cooked perfectly. How many restaurants have you ever been in that even knowns how to cook a steak Pittsburg medium-rare or medium? I'll wait why you think of somewhere. They are famous for their Prime Rib!My friend has celiac disease and the owner stopped by the table and shocked her by explaining that they offer most items on the menu as gluten free. She had cornbread for the first time in years and her food was also excellent. If you want an old fashion steakhouse that is a city institution, then by all means stop in Woody's and discover why it is legendary.

Enjoy myself every time I come to Woody's. Come for dinner, stay for karaoke in the back. Staff is always great to match the steaks. Depending on your taste, pasta can be salty. Will definitely continue to come back.

The food and service here is top notch. I loved the ambiance, too! Everything was perfect!

Not impressed. It's a "who you know" place. Not for "outsiders".There is a cold vibration in the air.

Wonderful management and staff! Great food in a rustic atmosphere. The Sweet Spicy Firecracker Shrimp are worth the 2 hour drive!!! Gouda chips are a must have. The bread pudding is heavenly (and I'm really picky about bread pudding). I definitely recommend.

We love to go to Woodys for special occasions and celebrations! They always accommodate a large party and the service is always wonderful. My favorite is the Balsamic Filet with the most delicious Brussel sprouts. While waiting on the main course you can never pass on the bread and berry butter. If you can save room for dessert the table side bananas foster is Top Notch!

Tonight special chicken piccata.If available, it's the best!I recommended giving it a try. .

First the place is old and run down need updating bad !!! Sat down and had food in my booth seat Food was okay nothing great We both eat steak Menus are old and dirty They need some help Napkins are gross and old !!! Last time to eat here
