Wimpy's

From the outside you wouldn't know this was a gem...the customer service was amazing. She greeted me with a warm smile and walked me thru the menu with great patience. The setting is that of an old family gathering place with an open kitchen to watch your food being prepared, and the freshest ingredients anyone could ask for. The taste of the food is amazing!!! It hit every spot I would've imagined this place would be as they played on the historical cartoon character from Popeye.

What a HUGE disappointment. I went to Wimpy's on National Cheeseburger day with two of my coworkers. I ordered a number 2, double cheeseburger with fries and a drink. There was no one in line ahead of us. Both of my friends got their food while I sat there for over 10 minutes with Nothing. Finally, as my friends finished their lunch, out comes my food. No explanation, no excuse, just here ya go. When I complained, all I got was, Sorry. No refund, no coupon, no discount, no NOTHING. Never again.

Tried this place a few years ago and it wasn't impressive!Came back 2 weeks ago and it blew me away Very very good I've been back like 3 times since then

Burger and regular fries were very good. Cajun fries had way too much seasoning. Chicken strips (for Teddy) were ok. Service was very friendly and food came out fast.

I was very impressed when went for lunch today. Wimpy's has by far the BEST burgers around. Fresh meat and NOT preformed patties. Offer a lot of free extras for your burger. Our burger, fries and onion rings were cooked perfectly. It was spotless inside and the staff was cleaning, filling ketchup bottles, I even saw them cleaning out bottom of the coke fountain drain and took the rack in back to wash and bring back. I was impressed. Especially with Covid and flu season among us. Looked as if was sanitizing and wiping dry the drain. I have seen people go for refills and pour a tad out in drain at places and pouring bacteria in it so I was impressed that Wimpy's was sanitizing that area. I'm never noticed any other place do that before. There was a lady manager working that was very sweet. She was on top of cleanliness for sure. In my opinion, the crew was working smoothly together due to the managers ability to communicate nicely to her team. Didn't see any of them acting like not happy with working. She seemed like a pleasant and likable person to be around. I love Wimpy's! We buy a lot of the fundraiser City Saver books. One can pay for one's books in BOGO'S. Trust me, they are worth the money and supporting schools and so forth at the same time as saving money on meals. And NO, I don't work for City Saver! I might should though, because I'm sold on City Saver fundraiser books!I love the fact that one can watch your meal being cooked and assembled at Wimpy's. I'm not fond of eating at a place where I can't see what they are doing when fixing my meal. I've read so many sick news reports of people that are lacking in good judgement doing things to orders!If you haven't tried Wimpy's or felt like you had a bad experience in the past, I'd recommend trying again. We had a great experience. More than likely the person/persons that made your experience not a pleasant one were fired or too lazy to continue working. Be nice to have a Wimpy's in OB! We give Wimpy's an A+ today!

This is my favorite burger spot hands down. Every time I go I experience a clean store and I am greeted with polite, friendly service with an exceptional burger that leaves me ready to come back again! The manager does an exceptional job and I can testify that this location in Southaven, is far and above better than the Germantown location. Hands down! You guys rock!

Fast and good! Milkshakes are delicious. Going to be a regular customer for sure! Food comes out perfect and exactly the way you order!

You haven't had a burger till you've had a Wimpy's burger!! You won't find frozen premade patties here from Sam's or Costco! They serve fresh ground beef! You won't get condiments you don't ask for in other words one doesn't have to take standard condiments like at drive thru fast food restaurants. It is their custom to ask what you'd like on your burger. Just to name a few things can ask for without cost are banana peppers, cherry peppers, red onion, grilled onion, grilled pineapple, lettuce, tomato, and etc. Wimpy's fries and onion rings are cooked to perfection! Golden and just the right texture to bite into! Awesome! Delicious! Presentation looks yummy! Nice atmosphere in restaurant! Only drawback I know is to add a slice of cheese last time i asked was 75 cents. It looks like a better slice of cheese, though. One thing i'd like to see in Wimpy's is decaf unsweetened tea! If you want a good old fashioned burger....opt Wimpy's! !

Incredible manager. Her team ensures clean restaurant and restrooms. Have never seen any type of disorder. Dining anywhere, especially during the lunch rush hour, should be a relaxing and peaceful experience. Without question, this establishment is that! Quality food, good prices. A must for those "looking" for that place whether it's one person or multiple. Parking is easily done...quick access to Getwell off of Goodman to the west of the restaurant and Olive Branch to the east, or Memphis to the north. Great location! Manager walks around to ensure patrons are satisfied and interacts accordingly. Menu is abundant - kids and adults alike. Thank you for your excellence but mostly for your efforts to have your team wear those smiles! Such a rare thing but definitely welcome!Gotta love those hand spun shakes - especially on a Saturday! Awesome! Thick and lasting. This location has had the same employees - manager included - since I've began visiting in January. I'm not from this area but have moved nearby. Point being, I would venture to say not many restaurants have the same employees six months later. This is what the Wimpy's manager does to provide good meals, drinks, cleanliness and continuity! Kudos to the Manager! This is what commitment looks like!

Customer service is fine and the ambience is whatever but it is way over priced, the prices on the photos on Google are different from what they are in store and they charge you a whole dollar to add a slice of cheese. Then when you actually get the food it's meh. The fries are decent but I would not recommend the burger. Overall I'd say spend your money elsewhere and skip over this place.Edit: when I said prices on the website I meant the prices in the photos on Google, I apologize.
