William's Bar-B Q

I'm not a big bbq pork person, usually beef, however , MY GOODNESS!!!! The pork was AMAZING!!!!! The smoke flavor was perfect, sauce complimented the meat. I'm from TX, we have hill country bbq, yet to find that quality, until now. THAT WAS THE BEST BBQ SANDWICH I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!! Have to say too, the service was great. The man working there was so friendly and helpful. They are busy, seems like the door swung open every minute. Says a lot about a pretty small restaurant. GET A BBQ SANDWICH, IT IS WORTHY TO BE ON YOUR BUCKET LIST FOR FOOD!!!!!

This is a very small family restaurant. Hardly any seating inside, so everyone just order takeouts. Simple menu and very affordable. We got our food pretty fast.

Wow.... Just wow. Traveling through and wants hoping foe some barbecue. This place popped up. This is a "hole-in-the-wall" place. I don't remember if they have a table. We had the pulled pork with slaw sandwich. The man himself was siding behind the counter. The woman who helped us was very friendly and helpful. We picked up and drove off. To say it was a holy experience would NOT be an overstatement. Did I say WOW?We were going to drive back but we were kind of rushed. If I am ever back this way. I will make a pilgrimage to THE BEST barbecued pork sandwich I have ever had.

Mr Williams always has some of the best bbq sandwiches in Memphis imo . When u walk in he's always there to greet u with a smile and some friendly chit chat. The food is so dam good it's a crime if u pass this place up. If you're in the area and hankering some bbq go give Mr Williams some love & u won't be disappointed

Closed early and dark..It looked like it was out of business at 5:30 on a weeknight in December 2022. Sorry!

The food was amazing. The service was excellent. I will absolutely be back. Prices were great. Catfish was best I've had. A menu with only what you need.

The food is not the same, pork is now roasted in oven! So the charcoal taste is lost! Price of sandwich has risen to $12 but they are using a smaller bun! Increased cost, lost taste and unpredictable hours! Wouldn't waste my time! Legacy business gone to hell!

Really love the chopped pork BBQ sandwiches from this hole-in-the-wall spot in West Memphis. I ordered one of each, a hot and a sweet. The sweet is very, very sweet, and the hot isn't really hot at all, but is also a lot less sweet. If you like more of a traditional BBQ sauce, I would get the "hot" version. They are quite filling, and while I usually eat a lot of food, two definitely made me very full.The owner (William) is usually there, working the counter, and he's an absolute ham and a joy to talk to while you wait for your food. They are currently only doing takeout, and are cash only (the sandwiches are $7 each). If you like biking, you can actually rent one of the bike share bikes and get most of the way here from downtown Memphis on trails (the last 1.5 miles are via a road, but the sidewalks are wide too). Definitely worth a visit!

Looked to Yelp reviews to find a local place for good barbecue. This place had some very good reviews so chose to go there. Small and clean establishment with 2 tables to eat in. We chose to carry out. We ordered 2 plates, one chopped (pork) and one chicken. They came with coleslaw, fries or beans. We chose coleslaw and one of each. Beans were too sweet for our taste and fries were not crispy as requested. The sandwiches had generous portions of meat on a large bun. We thought they forgot our slaw but found it on our sandwich. Oops, forgot that's how they do it here.

A small hidden away place that packs incredible flavors together. The mild sauce is magic. The French fries hot and tasty. Don't pass by this small venue. BBQ is just as good as any you can get in Memphis. The service was kind and professional.
