Whitts Barbecue

I love Whitt's wings so today I stopped and grabbed some to go. They were good, but they didn't have that kick that I'm used to with Whitt's, they usually have a slight peppery burn. Oh well?

I'm a huge barbecue fan so when I found out there was a barbecue place close to my house I immediately wanted to try it. To say the least I was greatly disappointed, the barbecue here was not good at all and neither was any of the other stuff I got. I definitely wouldn't come back here.

Always on a quest for good Bar BQ. It was pork sandwich Wed and $1.82 for a sandwich is always a good deal! The side of Mac was not the best I've ever had but it was hot and tasted good. Regular menu items seem very reasonable. I would eat here again. It is a small eating area so assume most call ahead and pick up at for lunch and dinner.

If you haven't tried this Whitt's Barbecue location in a couple of years you seriously need to recheck it out!! Friendly staff, awesome fresh food barbecue pork tastes like it just came off the pit. Their drive thru moves quickly too but if it's not an employee comes out and gets your order and it's ready when you get to the window. Obviously they care bout getting your business!! Whitts has been around the better part of my life and I loved it when I was younger. The Dickson location is however a huge let down and is nothing like the others. I've driven away more times than I have stayed and ordered. Between the service and lack of product, despite being empty most of the time, it's a miracle this location stays open.

Went to Whitt's in Dickson a few years ago and had a bad experience, but went back last week and this week and it was great both times! I think they've straightened out whatever was going on before.

I am so disappointed in Whitts AND the jerks that work there!!! RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!!!!! Called on the phone to inquire of hours, the "woman" said really hateful "what do you want"? I was like really??? Good grief. If you don't like your job LEAVE! The last two times my potatoes were OLD and seemed to be from the day before. I'll never ever revisit this hole in the wall. They need to get rid of the jerk employees, their ruining yalls business. Lost customer never to return Just beware people and I wouldn't of Gave any stars what so ever because they don't even deserved a half of one

Great spot to dine at in the evening. The slow cooked green beans and the cornbread is the best I've had in a while. In my opinion if you haven't tried it in a while I would give the evening crew a chance to help you and you will not be disappointed.

What a total waste of time and money. The beef wasn't brisket (not sure what it was) and completely inedible. It was dry, way over salted and cold. Honestly, we weren't sure if we would get sick from it. The half slab of ribs was not even close to a half slab, unless it came from a miniature pig. They were cold, dry and almost flavorless. The side portions were what you'd expect in elementary school. The beans (green and baked) seemed straight out of the can, and the corn bread was completely shameful by southern standards. The service was lackluster, the employees were more concerned about telling stories than the customer service. The prices for what we received were ridiculously high. This place would do better if it shut down and became an auto parts store. Giving it one star for a review is one star too much. If you want real barbecue, there are other places to go, don't waste your time and money here!

Whitts Bbq in Dickson Tn has lost our family as customers. Saturday we had bad flooding in our area so the lobby was closed understandably. But while at the drive thru window we had a Tornado warning alert come up on the radio and phone and the clouds got dark and ominous quick. I had my 7 year old granddaughter and she started panicking and getting scared. I asked if we could come in while the storm passed and she said no, lobby is closed because they couldn't serve people. I understand that, I'll get back in line and order after the storm passes, just want to get out of the car while it's bad. Sorry no. Wow, my granddaughter was begging her let us come in because she was scared. It had nothing to do with eating, just getting to safety. The other stores beside them was closed but we went about 2 mins up the road to applebees and they let us in with no issues. We didn't eat in there either, it was just about being safe. I will not go back to Whitts just because of the fear my granddaughter had and the lady did not care about the safety of the customers. I'll be taking my business to Applebees and Ronnie Q's.
