Whitt's Barbecue-Ashland City

I was not happy with the food here whatsoever. I got a family pack, and half the pound of meat consisted of fat pieces. On top of that, my mac and cheese looked like it had been sitting out for a while, enough for the cheese to dry up and get that thick, dark layer on the top. The buns were fine, considering they are from a different company. Used to love the thick hot sauce, nothing thick about it anymore and no heat or spice. The service was ok. They weren't extremely nice or rude, but I did have to repeat my order a couple times, no big deal just a little frustrating. I went through the drive through so I do not know about the ambiance inside, but it seemed pretty quiet.

Love their loaded bake potatoes, bbq nachos, and ribs!! Their hot vinegar bbq sauce is hot!! Use with caution!!

Nothing to write home about. The barbeque pork was subpar, considering how many other options there are within 20-30 minutes. Sides weren't impressive, we chose Mac and cheese and potato salad. Mac and cheese tasted like frozen Stouffers, it was awful. Won't be back.

Don't pull up at 5:52pm on Sunday because the kids that run the place will not serve you as they are already closing out their registers. Terrible service when you aren't even open the hours you advertise.

We are from Kansas City. They're menu advised that they believe in Old Fashion smokin. Not oven based Smokin of the meat. We tried two menu items. Neither had ANY SMOKED FLAVOR. The brisket was dry and tasted like what I make as Roast and potatoes with carrots. The pulled pork was bland. Slightly costly. BBQ sauce on table had good vinegar base taste. Service was excellent. Their side items were good. Especially the fried okra. Home made Mac n Cheese was homemade but bland and runny. Would of been better baked.

Great food fair prices nothing fancy about it ribs and pulled pork to die for and hot wings that disappear too fast to count.

Always great bbq plates, but also, the loaded nachos and loaded baked potatoes are AMAZING prices have always been reasonable..love it!

Ordered two loaded baked potato and two pounds of bbq some of the best bbq I've eaten in years.

I have liked the food in the past, however, they do not wear masks while preparing food and when I asked why, I got "it's my right and I do not want to and my manager does not require it" and then I explained I had taught pandemic classes to hundreds of people and that to protect their customers they should really wear masks. That It is not about rights it is about saving lives and humanity. And if not then did they take temperatures. I was then told to Shut up etc and she walked away all angry. I was totally shocked. Anyway it is not a food safe place I would recommend NOT going there, since if they are infected it will be spread through their food, so they obviously do not care about their customers. Please wear masks everywhere, we could open up everything now if everyone would just wear masks. I was taught to create pandemic training by epidemiologists. Just wear a mask to save lives. It is simple!

Nice people, worst barbecue I've ever had hands down. Sorry! Watery, bland veggies, dry corn bread, flavorless and chewy pork, and overly sweet, clearly pre-made potato salad.
