Whispering Woods Grill

Traveling from Texas to visit friends in Mountain View and Mountain Home, this restaurant in between the two towns was recommended. We had a reservation for 8:15 (only choice available) for a party of six a plus a service dog, and the staff was happy to seat us early as a table became available.Allison was our server. She was very attentive without being intrusive, and she was delightful. I got the Parmesan crusted halibut with a baked potato and steamed broccoli. I enjoyed it, but my husband said it wasn't the freshest halibut he'd had. Hubs got the shrimp and scallop Alfredo. He enjoyed it except for the garlic cooked with the pasta. A little too much garlic. One friend got the roasted chicken with rosemary and thyme sauce. He said it was good. His wife got the walleye. She did not enjoy it at all. She was not specific, but said it was not good. Another friend got the sea bass and loved it. Her husband got the pork tenderloin medallions, and he liked it very much.The ambience is pleasant with simple decor. We enjoyed the evening overall due to great service and pretty good food. We'd certainly eat there again, but probably try steaks and burgers and stay away from the fish.

Two things are really great here the food and the views! I love the view over looking the lake it's gorgeous! The food here is always great as well my favorite dishes are the Ribeye steak and the seafood pasta! They had a special cheese curd appetizer last time that was also very good!

Such a wonderful spot! All of the locals in Mountain Home, Arkansas recommended the Whispering Woods Grill for a nice dinner. It was about a 20 minute drive from down town Mountain Home but was definitely worth it! I had a truffle Mac and cheese and my mom had a steak. We then got an amaretto crème brûlée at the end of the night to finish it off and it was by far the best crème brûlée I have ever had! I need amaretto to be in all desserts from here on out!

We came before dinner and an off hour but sat quickly. If you come here, make your reservation. If we had been a little bit later, we would not have been so lucky. Great restaurant with a great view, which fill up with locals and tourists like.. I had the steak. The prime rib- half to take home and half to eat. It was served with green beans, a salad and bread. Quite taste but the bread pudding with bourbon icing yikes lol

The wife and i have eaten here over a dozen times and brought our friends and family here as well. Used to be our favorite place but it has turned here lately. Ive brought it to the owners attentiin before but not at the time we were there because they were busy. Emailed and Kim was not helpful that time. But we decided to try more times and were disappointed more.I left a polite comment on their Facebook page, where i have been very generous to them before, and they blocked me from their page. Without ever contacting me and trying to resolve my issues. Thats not what i expected but after seeing other reviews i guess i was just wrong about them.No loyalty to good customers and poor customer service and declining food quality.Oh well. We were driving an hour and a half ti eat there but now we can save that time and eat somewhere better.

Been here before. Never disappoints. Walleye and trout fantastic. Steaks look great too. Staff is friendly and hustles Great meal. Thank you!!!

Exquisite foods as well as your normal run of the mill restaurant foods. Good waiters, very attentive. Oh, I almost forgot, we love their bread and real butter to go with it. They also feature their own Burger of the month. Don't think you will ever see anything like it any place else. Highly recommend!

Another excellent experience at Whispering Woods grillI had the burger of the month again. they may have changed their fries since last visit. Burger was delicious. Views are incredible

Absolutely perfect meal! The lobster was cooked perfectly and sooo tender, the filet grilled to a perfect medium rare with the truffle butter that took it to another level, I used one of the pats of butter in my potato which was divine! (Anything with truffle is so decadent!) I've had the pesto ravioli in the past and would highly recommend that as well. In addition to my entree I subbed a house salad with the Caesar salad as my other side and really enjoyed it. It was a little heavy on the dressing for me so I might ask to lighten that up the next time I visit. The strawberry peach sangria special was quite refreshing and thoroughly enjoyed. Don't miss the warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream for dessert even if you split it with others and at least have a bite!

Food and service is always wonderful. There menu is Ute to please everyone. Reservations recommended!
