West Street Diner

I thought this was pretty good. It does seem a bit dirty on the inside. Which could def using some cleaning.The food itself was wonderful. Service was pretty fast. We were in and out. The menu was pretty self explanatory.Would come back and try other things!

This was typical diner food. It wasn't good and it wasn't bad. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, check them out. Husband was satisfied with his food. He has pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. I had a biscuit, sausage and potatoes. Service was good. Price point it excellent.

One of my favorite diners ever. Classic diner setup: a long, bright hall with booths and often lots of people. The service is extremely quick and servers are friendly. The prices are awesome! I've shopped around at West Street: pancakes, patty melts, it's all good. But I always come back to fried catfish and fried okra. It's always fresh, hot, and crispy. You can't go wrong with any of their sides, but you'd be wrong to NOT order okra here.

Man sometimes a diner is what you need. We originally went to Big Bad Breakfast but I'm sorry man that joint ain't worth a 60 minute wait. Maybe the one in Oxford but not the Memphis location. Anyway back to West St Diner. One of us wanted lunch and three wanted breakfast. It was almost noon (pay no mind to the time shown on the clock that I shared). Lunch guy got a cheeseburger and French fries. Good looking burger with 2 slices of cheese and generous amounts of lettuce 'maters and onions. Crinkle cut fries. One got strawberry pancakes, the strawberries were frozen (thawed of course) as opposed to fresh. Still tasty though. One had biscuit and gravy an egg and some toast (biscuits were home made) and I had eggs Benedict and hash browns - the hash browns are fresh taters diced and cooked on the skillet top. Very nicely done!!

We took the suggestion of a local to eat here - and you may need to be a local to overlook some things here. First, the front door and entryway were less than inviting. We almost turned around and left - and maybe should have, as the inside was just like the front door and entry way. This place is just dirty. Not what I would expect from this "high-end" area - as we were told by the local we took the suggestion from. The menu is not all that self-explanatory and the waitress snubbed her nose when I asked questions. When she answered, she did in a manner that made certain I knew she thought I was dumb. As for the burger and sirloin steak we ordered - they both tasted great! But the restaurant could use a cleaning, including the flooring, the condiment bottles on the tables and especially the restrooms. We would avoid this place on our next visit in town.

Small diner in Germantown with good food and quick service. Don't miss the counter area in case the wait is too long ofr you. Staff is friendly and efficient. Menu has a nice variety for whatever you're in the mood for.

Popped in for some brekkky. Unplanned; knew nothing of the place. What a great find! All the food was delicious and most appeared to be house made rather than the usual frozen garbage. Waitress was helpful. We had no wait. We will return if we're back in the area.

Ate lunch there recently; the cheeseburger & fries were good, although the bun looked like it had been squashed and sandwiched back together.The service was abysmal. The server had an attitude from the moment I sat down--abrupt, unpleasant and very inappropriate.I'm willing to overlook a lot, but being blatantly rude for no reason is not one of those things. It's going to be a while before I eat here again.

Best breakfast in Germantown This is absolutely the best breakfast restaurant in Shelby County. "IT'S TIME TO EAT GOOD FOOD"

Great vegetables. I've been several and never been disappointed. I will go again. I've heard the fried catfish is great and will try next time.
