This is more a picture of the lovely back drop but it's behind the 16th tee I believe.

Are you a consistently straight driver of the golf ball? I mean really straight -- like never more than 10-15 yards off center. You are? Then give my review an extra star; low handicappers are gonna love this course. If you are not, then this course is gonna be frustrating. The fairways are very nice, but narrow and if you can't find them, you're probably OB, in a water hazard, or buried under landscaping. If you fail to lose your ball entirely to one of these fates, you're still gonna be wandering too long through the thick rough searching for it. The greens are lovely, but undulating and quick. The course is just really damn challenging for most weekend duffers. Still, the carts, customer service, clubhouse and food are really good. Definitely worth a look, but bring your A-game for sure.

I thought this was a very nice, very pretty, and challenging course. If you are straight off the tee you probably won't encounter many problems but the greens are challenging to anyone. Large greens with plenty of undulation and they were very quick at the beginning of our round, had slowed a little by the end of the back. My only complaint would be 4 holes surround the range which leads to a) fearing for your life that shots from the range hitters will get you; b) it's a pain to find your ball amongst all the range balls (again if you don't always hit straight) and c) run the risk of your ball being scooped up by the range guy, or apparently there's rouge ball hawkers that just pick your ball up (per the fellow we played with, a regular there). As we're finding in Memphis the rough is a bear to find your ball in but the rough, fairways and greens were very well maintained so if you could find your ball you had a great shot at it. We used GolfNow so we had a very reasonable price, I don't know the green's fees normally but I would highly suggest checking this course out. We will be back!

Nothing special but all in all an ok course. Some of the fairways are pretty tight. There is water and drainage ditches but really they do not come into play as most are ob anyway. As a plus, carts are nice and new. I would say worth $20-$30 round but no more.

A group of us head south every fall and Wedgewood is always a "must play" course for us. We used to go through Megan, a real sweetheart who arranged packages with our group and has real southern charm. Even though Megan is no longer there, the course remains a gem and the people are top shelf. Beware, the greens can be super fast.
