Waffle House

This is my first time visiting this location. It is clean, nice vibes, food is excellent. I ordered my usual but with the chicken sausage. Yes!! I said chicken sausage!!!. I am in love. Thanks waffle house. This staff on their job and we will be back.

The wait was not too long even though it was pretty packed inside. All staff greets every customer as they walk into the restaurant. The food was great. Came out quickly. I was a little shocked at the 7am-2pm operating hours.

Waffle House food slaps leaving a bad review because it's not really a 24/7 sit down meal. They do Togo only at night and on top of that charge a 20% gratuity. 10% for doing a Togo meal and 10% for something else. It's just this location that I've seen so probs won't ever come back to this one.

To those people that live in the south, "Waffle House" is a household name. They are EVERYWHERE. And with well over 2,000 locations, primarily situated in the southeastern part of the United States, this no-frills, greasy spoon, cholesterol induced comfort food has been filling up Americans since the 1950's. The location I am focusing on is located on Sycamore View Rd. in the east part of Memphis just a mile from Highway 40.Since I was flying in from out of town, my hotel was in close proximity to this particular Waffle House. I came here on the evening of Friday, September 24th 2021 at around 10:00pm and was starving. Since the dining area was closed for the evening, I went to the walk-up window and placed my order. I ended up going with a breakfast platter that consisted of two scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, white toast (that included jelly), and of course their famous single waffle. Prices here are affordable beyond recognition; my whopping platter with a soda only cost me about $10 for everything. All my food was ready within a very quick 5 minutes.Once I took the quite drive back to my hotel, I immediately was flabbergasted just how much food they give you here. Everything was piping hot and ready to be consumed. The eggs were cooked perfectly while the toast had a pretty hefty amount of salted butter prior to my spreading the sweet jelly over it. Bacon was greasy as expected as I assumed this stuff was cooked in lard. Hash browns were crispy on the outside with a soft texture on the inside. The waffle was fluffy and sweet and with their own house syrup, that only compliments to the added sweetness.This place is true southern comfort food at its finest. I can only imagine the amount of calories, sodium, and cholesterol I consumed on this platter as it is not the type of food to be eaten every day (or in my case, at night). But for the price, portions, and overall taste of this classic American staple, I was definitely not disappointed. My rating for the Sycamore View Rd. "Waffle House" in Memphis, TN is a solid four-stars.

Every time I show up to try dining here, they aren't open for dine-in.... midnight, 7 AM, 8PM... doesn't matter. This place fails at being a Waffle House.

absolutely bussin, food demolished. loved the ambiance here the music selection is an A+. great service they are so real for this.

There is nothing fancy about Waffle House. It is the proverbial greasy spoon diner that has spread throughout the South a d I believe their customers would not change a thing about Waffle House.My biggest reason for coming to Waffle House is their home fries, which o must add various toppings. I usually went with their patty melt, though this last time I went with a breakfast.Waffle House is a great place to either begin a day or end a night. Either way, you won't go away hungry.

The service was pleasant and food was tasty. I found it distasteful when one of the employees was disrespecting the cook due to the customer food not being prepared in front of others. It's much more appropriate to pull them aside to have that converse.

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR CARRY OUT ORDER!!! Tried to call an order in, no one answered the phone. So husband went there, ordered, and waited. When he got to the car he realized that they had left out his waffle. He went back in and got it. When I opened my food, it was incorrect. He had ordered a plain omelet for me. No meat, no cheese, just egg. It had more cheese than egg. And what egg there was was saturated in oil. Tried to call them again, big surprise, no answer. Husband offered to take the cheese omelet back and get me what was ordered. It wasn't even worth it so I just threw it away. Waste of my money and waste of his time.

Service was really good, for the first time I've been here, employees are really respectful and always attentive if we needed any refills, or how our food was!
