Volta Taverna

Volta is a good spot for great frozen drinks and Greek food. I've come to Volta a few times and have always had a positive experience. My last visit was over Double Decker weekend at the end of April. Oxford locals can tell you it's a busy weekend - Volta managed to have us seated within a reasonable amount of time despite the crowd. Service has always been consistently decent. Nothing to write home about, but nothing negative either. Their food selection isn't too expansive, but what they have is delicious. This past visit I had the walnut and goat cheese salad. It was the perfect size! My friend and I shared the pita melt as an appetizer. The melted cheese was divine. If there is one thing about Volta that stands out it's the frozen mojito. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a delicious and refreshing drink!

Food was great! Got the lamb&beef gyro was awesome! Service was good, environment was also good. Definitely will be back.

An Oxford staple. Half off margs. Best gyro in town. Labneh that's so good I eat it until my stomach is in severe pain.

Volta is one of my favorites when visiting my daughter at Ole Miss. Hotty toddy balls, walnut and goat cheese salad, crispy chickpeas and lemon chicken are a few of my favs!

Service here was friendly, the outdoor seating area is relaxing. The Hot Toddy bars are unique and something I do recommend but I wish they offered a 1/2 size as the price is higher although the serving size is generous.

It is clearly posted that Volta closes at 10pm. I was just refused service at 9:03pm.

More like a bar & grill. Then a greek restaurant. Very friendly service but extremely slow to get food. Ruth our server was amazing and very apologetic for the delay. Pricey for the quantity. 3 people meals with sides was almost $80 with no drinks for lunch. Gyros was good but not traditional on the spit. More like a Kefta beef pattie split into strips. The chicken souvlaki was not a skewer of chicken but small chopped up pieces like shawarma with a weird taste of seasoning. The gyro salad was large but wasn't a traditional lemon vinergette, mostly oil and mostly salad. We had the sweet potatoes & Krinkle fries 3.99 only a side came to us cold after waiting 45 minutes for dine in food. They immediately replace with hot one on request. Also got brussels a ver small cup 7.99 Maybe I expected too much being greek, by the way no greek person in sight beside us.Food was average.

The restaurant is very spacious, which shocked me based on how small the restaurant looked from the outside. The service was OUTSTANDING! Our server Logan was very attentive, patient, and gave great recommendations. He was definitely the highlight of our visit. The food was also amazing! It didn't take long and the wraps were well seasoned. I had a Philly wrap, my wife had a lamb and beef wrap, and our friend had a falafel wrap. We all were extremely satisfied. They left us with plenty of food for later. This is definitely me and my wife's favorite go to restaurant!

This place is amazing, word of mouth doesn't give enough credit!! I ordered the spicy grilled shrimp wrap and tried the Labneh appetizer and Bruce Lee wrap. The shrimp left my mouth tingling and my heart wanting more. Legit NEED the seasoning recipe it was so flavorful. Service was fast and staff were friendly! I asked for recommendations and was not steered wrong. GO. TO. VOLTA.

great food, incredible service and the cutest little kitty this side of oxford. Deborah kept my friend and I company throughout our meal.
