This restaurant was remolded and opened under a new name, the interior has been redone for additional seating and a few cosmetic upgrades. My first visit their didn't go well and I'm hoping it was just growing pains, ordered the chicken adobo which was cold, not Luke warm, not room temperature, cold, took it back to the counter and it was microwaved hot. Also the ladies behind the counter were very pushy and seemed to suggest items with my meal that I didn't ask for and I had to tell them I didn't want that unless it was included in the price of the meal. Also no prices are posted, so you really don't see the breakdown of what your paying for and also I wasn't given a receipt, hmmm. I'm sure they'll do well as their are very limited Filipino restaurants in the area but for right now I'll stick to the Filipino restaurant in Millington.

Their food is okay but their halo halo ice are chunks of ice. Halo halo ice should be really fine...just saying.... P.S. Dinuguan is a bit sour also .

A variety of food that gives me the comfort of home whenever I get homesick. They also have a little mini mart inside the store which has a lot of things that I grew up with living in the Philippines from Ube ice cream to mango ice cream. From ingredients to making halo halo to a diverse selection of seasonings. To top everything off, they also have services to send boxes to the Philippines.

Now called Kasarap. That means Delicious in Tagalog. They definitely improved Filipino food selection and since the current owners used to work there when it was called VGM, the food and service is better.

Portions are small. How do they get away with this. Not coming back. My son who is a regular here was disappointed. What happened?

I recently discovered this hidden gem and LOVE it! The lumpia and Pancit noodles are DELICIOUS! The couple that work there (I'm assuming they're a couple they might not be?) are the sweetest, always have a smile on their face and just as nice as can be. My co-workers and I order here often, almost once a week. II promise after your first visit you'll be hooked!

VGM is a great spot for a really good Filipino lunch! I've been here many times, I thought I had left a review already. The pansit and the pork adobo is great, but my go-to and my favorite is the BBQ skewer and an order of lumpia! The lumpia (Filipino egg roll) is great and the only place I can think of in Memphis to get it outside of my friend's house in Munford! VGM is a restaurant and a convenient store. They carry Filipino snacks, sodas, and packaged foods. The food is authentic and the ladies are very friendly. I really like this place, I just wish they were in a better location.

Casarap (previously VGM foods) is the only place in Memphis that I know to find hot cooked Filipino food. It is delicious!!! Try the pancit, adobo, lumpia, and lechon kawali for sure! The best Filipino comfort food! Always hot and fresh, cooked with care! Don't forget the leche flan for dessert! It is so smooth & yummy!!!They also have a store for essentials like Mama Sita's, cracker nuts, & cornick... the snacks we crave!I hate that I forgot to take photos
