Velvet Cream

So we've been here twice in the last few days. From that, you can probably guess that we like it.Our first time was on Tuesday night. It was a great little find. I enjoyed a hot fudge sundae with peanuts and my wife had fresh french fries. Yes, she dipped her fries in my sundae, and it was yummy.The gentleman at the counter was friendly, even joking a little bit. He wore a big smile. I liked that.The place has all kinds of ice cream treats, and plenty of hot food. Really, there is a lot to choose from.Also, the place has a cool vibe and benches out front. We sat there and enjoyed the treats.Our next trip was Saturday night and I had a hankering for a caramel shake. Their caramel shake was spot on. It was good.

Mediocre, overpriced, food... That's what's going on here. It's just trashy food. Frozen EVERYTHING! To some it's probably good, I've met them recently in the hospitals I've been in. Ice cream is pretty good I guess. I can't say anything stands out as great. Kids have had us here many years coming for the ice cream. Tiger Blood has had all the rage at the house so many times. Not my thing. I am not a big fan of order at the window and stand outside and wait kinda customer service models. Does the drive thru work here still? Shit, I don't know...Nice parking lot setting and views. Ahhh. I can't say I am a fan. '24 - 16/100

I was in the area today and stopped here on my lunch break. It's wasn't busy , that's strange for lunch hours. The food here is just okay, the burger wasn't hot but the chili dog was and it's pretty tasty. The service was okay too. But it's definitely not something I would run back and try. If I do go back it would be for Ice cream next time ...

Love their ice cream, shakes and of course their burgers. If you're looking for a quick bite or drink while on the run. Than give The Velvet Cream your business instead of McDonalds.

where is the "no star" option. I moved here 8 months ago, thought I would try it. I didn't even get to the window to order, because of the Rude and Racist older man there serving. I heard him while in line and I turned right around and left. wouldn't know if anything was worth the price because I'm not sticking around and spending my hard earned money at a racist establishment. Get with the times buddy, it's 2024.

So I will never be back to Velvet Cream again. We patronize this place at least every week and today I was treated rudely by the owner. I ordered my ice cream online and as soon as I got it, it was melted. I nicely asked him if he could replace it and he says, it's hot outside and ice cream melts. I said sir I just got the ice cream from the other window and it's melted. Then I proceeded to ask him if he could replace it. He was so rude and said I'll just give you your money back. I said well just do that sir. I mean if you get ice cream at the grocers it melts too but this ice cream was soupy. As a customer, I should not have had to debate with an owner. Customer service at Velvet cream is out the window and I will share my experience with everyone I know.

We were handed a single serving cup and told it was the double dip that we ordered. Then the ice cream itself had ice crystals like it was stored with no lid. I won't be back.

What can I say? This place has been in Hernando, since Christ was a carpenter. However, in the last 25 years their prices have quadrupled. If you go through the drive-through, you'll pay more for the food then if you just walk to the front. Also, if you do an online order using the app you'll pay more.If you never had "The Dip" you've got to try it once at least a milkshake or an ice cream. But after that you can find better food at a cheaper price.

I have always gotten good service at The Dip until tonight. I got to the "ugly side" of the owner that you often hear about. We got two concretes with some candy in them. The problem is that there was almost no candy. I went back through the line expecting that they would just add a little of the Kit Kat, Oreo, and Snicker we asked for. Well, the owner was in a mood to argue and not please the customer. That's fine, there are other places that have ice cream. I have enjoyed The Dip in the past......

You changed the ice cream you used to have that was so good and your prices for food are now ridiculous!
