Uncle Goyo’s Mexican Restaurant

First visit at uncle Goyo was a pretty cool experience. Sat at the bar and ordered the famous pomegranate margarita & tacos were delicious as well. No reservations are needed.

Not good and overpriced. Only for old white people in Germantown that don't know any better.

Awesome place and awesome people! The newer decor is off the charts and I hope they keep adding lights : )

Run don't walk!!!! Dinoooooo was the best he made sure we had a good time, understood the menu, and enjoyed the ambiance! I literally couldn't ask for more, he made sure to check on us often and just overall was a vibe himself! Dino for uncleGoyo President, the food was amazing by the way. This place won't disappoint.

The new menu has Uncle Goyos offerings on one side and Tacos Nganas offerings on the other. We ordered from both sides and everything tasted great and may have been slightly cheaper than the original menu. The margaritas were beautiful and fresh tasting. The chips and cheese dip is the same in that it has never come with enough chips. Also, some of the menu items indeed are very greasy, so beware. There seemed to be confusion with communicating which side of the menu we were ordering from (and both sides have some similarities which was odd to us). We've never had a problem with service and we've been several times over the years, although I do see this trend in recent comments made by others.

I was running some errands on a Friday morning and decided to stop here for a somewhat early lunch. It was just at 11am and they had just opened up. When i walked in, i was greeted by their staff who was having a quick morning huddle! I chose to sit at the bar. The bartender quickly came over and asked if id like some chips and salsa but in declined. I ordered a spicy margarita and to my surprise, tacos ganas (food truck) served their street tacos here. When i asked the bartender about them, he said that after the owner of the food truck had about 9 trucks, he decided to do something a bit more upscale. I forgot to ask if they were owned by the same people though. My bartender began making my drink and the host looked over and said "that drink is going to be so good, he's a great bartender" so i was ready! My drink was in fact, delicious and cute! My food came out shortly after and it in fact looked like the food truck tacos but instead of a Togo box, it was on a plate lol. The tacos were so great and they did not hold back on the meat!! Everyone always skips the cabbage but it is truly my favorite. With every bite of taco, i had to take a bite of cabbage too! It pairs so perfectly! The bartender checked on me frequently and overall, the staff were great!! I will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area. Right before leaving, i stopped by the bathrooms! They have cute doors to distinguish the men from the women! The bathroom was clean which is always a plus in my book!

Went with a friend who highly recommended Uncle Goyo's when Local Lime was busy. We were both surprised to find out that this was in fact TACOS NGANAS. The menu was completely different from what my friend remembered and from what's seen on Google. The queso was bland, and looked odd. The ceviche was edible. The (overpriced) salsa tasted like something from a can--bland and somehow overly spicy. The entree tacos I had were fine.The service was subpar. It wasn't busy at all, and we barely saw our server. We had to ask for water refills, which only one of us got. I asked for the same drink as my friend when I arrived and never got it. (She thought the drink was subpar anyway).The food runner brought out my friend's fajitas, dropped the foil-wrapped tortillas on the ground then proceeded to place them on the table anyway. Don't get me wrong, the girls were sweet, but they absolutely need better training.I won't be back.

Decided to give it a go and we regret it. Service was extremely slow, salsa was just chopped tomatoes...nothing else, the carne asada street taco was ground beef with zero flavor and extra grease ...my daughter's taco salad had a choice of one dressing....ranch... really? On a taco salad.... And it was just lettuce and cheese..... Will not go back...

10/10 recommendation! From the drinks, to the food, to the ambiance, & to the service everything was amazing! Our server Dino exceeded his job! I will be back!

Have to buy chips and salsa. Salsa came, and it is just a bowl of tomatoes. No cilantro. Nothing.Guacamole mediocre.Service was sooooooooo slow.The only salad dressings they have are ranch and honey mustard. No vinaigrette.Tacos were soggy and no taste.
