Two Brothers Smoked Meats

The chicken bacon white bbq sandwich was awesome and so was the bacon Mac n cheese! Service was quick and friendly

My partner and I ventured here on a weekend while getting our pup groomed. It is somewhat to be expected in some ways. Decor is very casual and the standard for the Cotton District. It also seemed odd to have table service at what's technically a BBQ joint. We started off with Crawfish Eggrolls. After getting them, I wished we had gotten the fried pimiento cheese balls. On paper, the eggrolls sounded cool and tasty. What we got was more like fried chimichangas and when plated, they didn't even drain the excess fat. They were OK but not great. I had the smoked prime rib french dip with beans and my partner got the smoked chicken salad on their jalapeno corn meal bread with house made pork rinds. I'm not going to lie, both of us were blown away by the sandwiches. The smoke on the french dip was just that little extra touch to bring it to the next level. My partner said it was likely the best chicken salad sandwich she's ever had. The side of beans I had were quite good too. Not baked or BBQ beans but more like pintos with onions and pulled pork. You don't see that much of the style outside of Texas and it was a welcome reprieve from the rich sandwich. The pork rinds were OK as well but would've been nice to have had a sauce to dip them in. We also had a couple of cocktails and they were nice and balanced too. Service was great, very casual. The cleanliness and the eggrolls were the only downsides as they weren't very in-tune with keeping things clean. In their defense, It was the day of the half marathon and it was likely busier than usual.

In town and walked around campus and the cotton district. The campus is very nice and so were the people. It was "Super Bulldog Weekend" so there were a lot of people in town. We had heard of Two Brothers so we stopped in for lunch. There is both indoor and outdoor seating upstairs and downstairs. There is a bar upstairs and downstairs as well. We sat upstairs on the balcony. Two Brothers has a variety of items from traditional starters to pulled pork, smoked wings, chicken salad, street tacos, etc. We started with some pimento cheese fritters which were very good. For our meals we had the pulled pork sandwich and patty melt. You can add bacon and jalapeño pimento cheese to the patty melt which I recommend LOL. The pulled pork sandwich was large and the pork had a nice smoked taste that pulled apart nicely. The patty melt was very delicious. Another stain in our group had the shrimp tacos and we had a taste. These were the best shrimp tacos we have had so I highly recommend them! The service was ok. The location, like most places here, was decorated with local sports photos, etc which adds to the local fanfare and atmosphere. Overall, I recommend Two Brothers Smoked Meats if you are visiting " Stark Vegas".

I don't get it. This used to be such a great place. We've been coming here for the past 3 years and back then, the food was amazing. I miss the duck sliders. I miss the consistency. We brought a friend from out of town and the meal was just okay. We waited a considerable amount of time for our food. Once it arrived, it wasn't even that warm. I ordered the pulled pork grilled cheese as did our friend. Mine had chicken on it for some reason while his was the correct order. At least let me know that you have run out of pork rather than surprise me and think that you're getting away with pushing lunch through. The tacos were good as are the pork rinds. The street corn was a disappointment. I hope that they go back to focusing on the food aspect and not so much on the bar.

Meh. All around. The shrimp version was the only one that got eaten. By me anyway, as the dogs had the other versions. The smoked meats were just giant lumps in the taco and were room temp. Not appealing. First and last visit for me.

Got takeout from this restaurant in the cotton district. I got three tacos - the pork belly, chipotle chicken and the gulf shrimp. The pork in the taco was very fatty and did not have much flavor to me. HOWEVER the shrimp and chicken are the best fusion-type tacos you can find in Starkville! Worth the visit just for the tacos!!!!! I also got sweet potatoes fries - very well seasoned, as well as the baked beans - very good, typically baked beans!

The chicken salad sandwich with street corn.. so delicious. The smoked chicken is so delicious!! Everything is so good!!I added a little bbq sauce and jalapeños on my sandwich.. mouth watering good!!Smoked chicken is so good!! Loved it here!

Cool place with a great location! The service was excellent and very fast. I definitely recommend the smoked/deep fried wings and the shrimp taco was amazing!!!

Place is amazing for some BBQ probably some of the best I've had in awhile. Fries were nice and fried even with all the Bbq on top of it. Ambiance is amazing as well. Staff is nice and polite.
