Tsunami is a perfect date night restaurant. Seating is intimate, with artwork on the walls, professional servers, wonderful drinks, and come-back-for-it entrees. I have no negatives at all here. Not one.Book your reservation online and expect to be there for about 90 minutes. The pace is fine. Dining, so take your time. Pinch tiny bites of that delicious bread and butter it. Please try the sea bass with the black rice.

Tsunami, located in the vibrant neighborhood of Cooper Young, has quickly become a restaurant that I eagerly anticipate visiting. Although I have been there only twice, each experience has left me craving for more. One of the highlights of Tsunami is their extensive selection of appetizers. The menu offers a wide range of choices, but I find myself consistently drawn to the sake, steamed mussels, and Thai red curry sauce. The combination of flavors is simply irresistible. The thought of it alone is enough to make my mouth water. Additionally, Tsunami offers other tempting appetizers such as calamari, garlic shrimp, and bacon-wrapped dates with sweet chili. With such a diverse range of options, there is something to please every palate. When it comes to my main course, I have found a favorite that I simply cannot resist. The roasted Seabass on black Thai rice with soy bur blanc is a dish that has truly captivated me. Each bite is a symphony of flavors, and the presentation is nothing short of magical. The perfectly cooked Seabass, paired with the fragrant Thai rice and the savory soy bur blanc sauce, creates a harmonious blend that is both satisfying and memorable. The consistency of this dish has made it a go-to choice for me, as I simply cannot resist the allure of its deliciousness.Aside from the exceptional food, Tsunami offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a remarkable dining experience. The attentive and friendly staff adds to the overall ambiance, making every visit feel special. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a place to enjoy a delicious meal, Tsunami is the perfect choice. In conclusion, Tsunami in Cooper Young is a culinary gem that should not be missed. The wide range of appetizers, including the mouthwatering sake, steamed mussels, and Thai red curry sauce, showcase the restaurant's commitment to exceptional flavors. The roasted Seabass on black Thai rice with soy bur blanc is a standout dish that never fails to impress. The inviting atmosphere and attentive staff create a welcoming environment for any occasion. Whether it's a special celebration or a casual night out, Tsunami is the ideal destination for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Tsunami for any occasion, as it promises to deliver a culinary adventure that will leave you wanting to return time and time again.

After a long 11 hour drive to see my bestie in Memphis I was tired and hungry. Not wanting anything heavy as I needed sleep. My friend suggested Tsunami as he knows I have a love for wedge salads. It was the perfect place to end a long day. The service was amazing and we made new friends at the bar and reconnected with other friends. The menu looks pretty amazing and the daily specials are the highlight. I can't wait to return with a growling stomach and more energy. Service is superb!

Very chic establishment in the heart of Cooper-Young. The server was attentive and the drinks were stiff. I thoroughly enjoyed the spicy potstickers and bacon wrapped dates. The meatballs were good as well.

There's been a lot of recent hype about Tsunami, so we visited on Friday night. The dining room has a really cool vibe, but the acoustics are horrible, making it rather difficult to converse. The front of the house team works like well oiled machine, but our server was really not very good. We had to flag her down a couple of times. She asked my husband if we wanted another drink and then immediately left the table before I could say I wanted another, too. Never mind. We enjoy having cocktails and small plates, so we ordered 4 of the 6 appetizers and the glazed Tofu. The clams were very good, but I felt like everything else was average, at best and overpriced. I can't say we'd return.

Amazing service with delectable seafood dishes. Great spot for a special dinner like anniversary or birthday because the vibe is very relaxed. (You aren't being hurried to order, eat and leave.) The small plate is actually medium sized -- plenty of food especially if you are getting appetizer/salad and want to leave room for dessert -- recommended!

Really cute place. Seem to get busy quick, luckily we had a reservation. The lemongrass shrimp pasta was amazing, the sauce was so good. Perfect. The salmon was nice, too. Calamari wasn't my favorite as it seem to lack flavor outside of the sauce. Service was standard. Food came out in a decent time. We were here on a birthday outing and I indicated that when I made the reservation, the waitress even took a picture of use for me but no inquiry on why we were there. Thought that was interesting.

Incredibly unique flavors -- sea bass sauce was unlike anything I've had and the combo with the rice and fish was amazing. Also had the mussels, calamari, dumplings, and scallops. Scallops were really good, calamari wasn't the most flavorful or crispiest I've had as the breading felt thick. Mussels were interesting, I didn't love the curry or sake but very unique! Dumplings were fine, not memorable but not bad. Also got the sorbet, very normal sorbet. They were out of ginger donuts but those sounded really goodOverall a good meal, expensive but yummy! Would probably say the scallops and sea bass were the most worth it.Ambiance was nice, interesting decor and kind of dark but cute! Food came out incredibly fast
