Tom's Automotive Wrecker Service

My insurance company requested a tow from the wildersville location. That was a bit after 3pm they said they would be there within 120 to 150 mins. At 6pm they said they were 5 mins away. When the insurance Co call back they adjusted their arrival time to 75 more mins. Keep in mind the heat index is 110 degrees and my car will not run. As this new time was about to expire I called the off the lady told me she didn't have an eta but she would have the driver call me back. Then they quit answering the phone. Eventually they said they couldn't complete to job. Now this would have been nice to know before I waited til after 8pm in the heat with no water and no restroom. If I could I'd give them a negative rating. As far as I'm concerned if my car was on fire I wouldn't ask them to put it out. If you do not want to do a job don't accept it. It's that easy. My insurance company was paying so it's not like they were not going to get paid. This all occurred on 7-3-24. Some ppl just don't deserve their jobs.

Very nice people with great customer service. Hope was very helpful over the phone. THe driver Jeremy was very nice and took care of business. There prices are reasonable. I would recommend this company to all. Thank you.

Well these reviews are spot on about the wait. My daughter broke down literally 3 miles from the FIRESTONE in Jackson , Which is where she needed to be towed and it took Toms 3 hours and still didn't show up. They called and told us they would be there in an hour after an hour had already passed and still didn't show up so we kept waiting and just wasted time. We had to call another tow truck company that was there in 10 minutes.I wouldn't use this place even if my vehicle had to sit there for a week on the side of the Interstate.

With my car insurance, I have road side asstance. They were sending out Tom's wrecker service to aid me. I waited 2 hours without any communication from them. Then my insurance called me and said it was going to be an additional 2 hours. Luckily, I wasn't on the highway but in a parking lot with a friend that waited with me. I cancelled and went home. Never again!!

I had blown my front passenger tire heading westbound on I-40 at about 3am on a Monday. Changed it with the spare and continued on for about a mile until that blew. I called AAA and they had struggled to find a technician to get to me. About 3 hours later I was reassured when they said they had found a wrecker company to come pick up my car and take me to a tire shop. Dispatch didn't seem to want to talk to me very long because they kept saying times of arrival followed by a quick goodbye and then they hung up, that wasn't met, however when the wrecker did show up, the driver was beyond helpful and very professional. He was very efficient with loading the car up and getting me on my way to the tire shop. I would rate it higher if it wasn't for AAA seeming to struggle to find any wrecking service near me and if the dispatch had given me a bit more patience and reassurance but all in all, they got the job done and i'm grateful. Who wouldn't be after sitting on the side of the highway for 6 hours with tractor trailers flying by mere feet from your vehicle with no interest in getting over, even with a disabled car with its flashers on being visible from at least a half a mile away down a straightaway. Thank you Jeremy for doing a great job.

I truck got stuck in the mud at the Whispering Pines Campgrounds and Cabin in Dover, Tn. I called my insurance company to find a tow truck. At 10:41 am, Tom's Automotive Wrecker Service @ (731) 307-3147 was dispatched to pull me out of the mud, ETA 120-150 minutes. At 11:41, I called Tom's; the dispatcher said they were finishing up a job, and I was next. AT 1:14 pm, I was notified my driver was en route. At 1:18, I was told the ETA was another 45 minutes. At this point, Tom's dispatcher stopped answering my calls; I had to get the insurance company to call. Again at 2:55, I got another revised ETA of 30 minutes. Finally, a passerby with a truck and some chains pulled me out of the mud at 3:10. I was stuck in the mud for over four hours waiting for Tom's Automotive Wrecker Service, who kept making promises but never showed up.

They were immediately in route and completed pickup and delivery of my vehicle within the hour. Very professional, courteous and friendly. The driver Jeremy called while in route for details and we also had a nice conversation. Would highly recommend.
