Tommys Burgers California Style

We've ordered breakfast from here a couple of times, and were pretty impressed. Today we stopped to get lunch and were blown away. I got the pastrami burger and it was fantastic. I've read in a another review that they thought the burgers were frozen patties, and, I *suppose* this could be the case but they are very tender and flavorful. Not like other frozen patties you get at other burger joints. The pastrami was good, and the sauce tied everything together.My wife got the beef gyro, and I would caution you not to order this if you want a traditional-style gyro. What you get is something closer to a fajita in a pita, but it's excellent. If you're OK with this twist on a gyro, you won't be disappointed.From the breakfasts we've ordered in the past, you can't go wrong with pancakes, omelets, or the Mexican-style breakfasts. Stay away from the biscuits and gravy, though.

Really good quick food! Generous portions and good flavors. Fries crispy and fresh, well seasoned. Gyro tasty, other sandwich good and full of flavor. We sat outside, and the waitress was great about refilling drinks and bringing everything out super quick. Inside and out it was very clean. Happy with food quality too. When a combo meal at McDonald's is hitting the $8-10 price range, I would much rather go here for a few extra bucks

My Mom and I decided to try Tommys Burgers California Style after work. We passed by the restaurant a lot and wondered how it would taste. When we walked into the restaurant I noticed how clean the place is. My mom orders the Chicken Burger, and I order the Double Bacon Cheeseburger. After we placed the order we noticed that the receipt had two chicken burgers and completely left out the Double Bacon Cheeseburger. The servers were able to catch it on time, but we waited a little longer for our food. We eventually got our order and went home. When we got home I opened the wrapper and saw they forgot the bacon in my Double Bacon Cheeseburger. Besides that the rest of the burger was okay. The fries were definitely the best part of the meal, being well seasoned. Mom says her Chicken Burger wasn't that special either.

Another of the 'California'-style food places (Freddy's, Smoothie King, etc), which have moved into my neighborhood lately. With their use of mayo in their sauce, their taste distinguishes them from most other burgers (and exceeds them IMHO). Just over $7 for a Tommy Burger.If you're in for a bit of a throw-back, your cashier might call you Honey! Normally, waitresses calling me this are of a more 'mature' age, but it doesn't offend (or titillate either!) me to have a younger lass do so. Don't be a jerk by rebuking!

You can't overcome poor quality meat no matter how big the bun is or how fresh the lettuce/tomato are. Even good service doesn't solve bad meat. The meat for the burgers definitely gives the impression it's frozen pre-formed patties of very low quality. It made me think of a VBS cookout or some other institutional setting where the main idea is to serve the masses very cheaply. It looked bad and the only taste was chargrilled like Burger King. I saw that they serve breakfast all day and it looked good. But I will absolutely never eat a burger there. Since it's a burger shop, this is a major fail. *Any* other burger joint is better than this: Hueys, Mojos, Whataburger, 5 guys, heck even Freddie's is way better.

Glad this place is being used. They do takeout or dine in, with full service. The place was clean and well kept. The staff was very nice and attentive. From a food standpoint, the burger tasted like a whopper. The fries and onion rings were good. I am coming back to try the breakfast.

Solid burgers! Great size for the price. Ingredients tasted fresh and meat was well seasoned. The fries are def a skip, bland as anything I don't even know if they had salt. Overall we will definitely return. Their breakfast menu looks amazing and the family pack of burgers is such a deal!

We tried their burgers last night and everything was delicious, we came back today for breakfast and loved it. Service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean.

This place is amazing! Everyone is extremely nice and the food is delicious! Fresh clean oil is obviously used because the onion rings, fried zucchini and fries were light and golden.I have gone 4 times and have yet to be disappointed.The give full serving sizes of food, if that matters to you.This place is my new "go to".
