Tokyo Grill

As an international traveling food critic and unbeknownst to the staff, the following is what I experienced:- Staff were NOT welcoming nor personable.- Uncomfortable atmosphere.- First three items asked for they didn't serve, three strikes and they were out!If you are in the area and don't take the time to dine here!!!

1. Their ingredients tasted super fresh & the sushi rolls we got were really good! 2. The staff here were incredibly friendly and we got our food with a quick turnover considering how much sushi our table ordered.3. The prices here are VERY great. You can get very affordable sushi here. 4. They were open when neighboring sushi restaurants were closed. (Midday between lunch & dinner)That said, there are no frills here. We got the very basic sushi which were $4.99 a roll (!!!!) or 2 for $9.99 and that came with a miso soup! We tried: cucumber roll, California roll, spicy crunchy crab, and spicy California roll. They were all priced within that price range I mentioned and we were happy with nearly everything. Know that when they say a cucumber roll-- it's literally JUST cucumber inside rice & seaweed. I did not expect that and wouldn't get that one again. Also, the spicy sauce that came on their spicy rolls was overpowering in a bad way. Next time I'll get it on the side or without the sauce all together... you just couldn't taste the sushi or anything except the sauce. (And there was way too much sauce on it, IMO.)All in all? We'd come back again. My daughter really loved the artwork on the walls of the restaurant so huge kudos to whoever did the art inside because it really is breathtaking.

I love Tokyo Grill. It's my favorite Japanese place for takeout hibachi. They are very quick and professional. I only get the hibachi chicken.

I'm giving them a 5 because my DoorDasher did not go pick up my order, so DoorDash refunded me for my order. The next day, we ordered the same thing again. The restaurant called to check that it was me and then proceeded to cook the same order twice to make up for me not getting the order! We had Chinese food for days!

Sitting area inside is small. They seem to do a lot of to go orders.... Food was great and prepared quick! The service was helpful & friendly :)

great fresh flavors. the mango and sauce on the sushi roll pairs so well with the eel. I could have eaten 3 rolls worth. and the shrimp shumai was perfect. good cheap sushi. would eat again

Ordered some edamame, fried shrimp, haru maki (egg rolls), and a couple of mixed chicken and steak hibachi meals, through ubereats. Delivery was quick and efficient, but they forgot one of the soups/salads.All of the food was completely bland and flavorless. The meat was overcooked - dried out and hard to chew. Rice and edamame were okay, when drownein soy sauce.Hard to find a good Japanese comfort food restaurant in Memphis (-_-)

Amazing sushi and hibachi! I love this place and the owner is so kind. It's a very affordable place and my go-to when I'm craving Japanese food.

Amazing service and great sushi at a phenomenal price. 10/10 recommend and we will be coming back!

first time eating here. i had haru maki spring rolls and gyoza pan fried dumplings. very hot, fresh and tasty. i dined in. i will be back for sure !!!
