Hidden gem on the hillside in Timbo, AR! "This place is great", she gushed! We loved it; rustic and unnassuming, with outstanding sandwiches and burgers! Even better; the staffers were extra friendly - we want to go back and see them again! My Reuben was fresh and full of flavor, and my wife loved her Chicken Sandwich. Plain okd chips instead of fries - to remind you that we are in a podunk area, even if the food is GOOD. LOVED IT.

I passed this place several times while en route to my field study sites, and had to try it since it looked cute and the sign claimed they had the "best catfish in the Ozarks". Since I began exploring Arkansas, I have tried a variety of catfish meals, and this one was pretty good. I ordered a catfish basket, which included 2 breaded and fried catfish fillets, fries, 2 hushpuppies, coleslaw, pinto beans, and pickled tomatoes (or was it tomato relish?). Our order took a little time (not much), but because I assume they made it fresh, which is nice compared to other catfish places I have tried in the Ozarks. The catfish was pretty good - fillets not to thick or thin, nice crunchy slightly spiced exterior. Fries and hushpuppies were pretty good, too. I really liked the cole slaw. It didn't look like typical cole slaw, as it had more dark green slaw and also had tomato. Never been a fan of pinto beans, and I have little experience with pickled tomatoes, but it tasted much like salsa, actually. I admit I wasn't a huge fan of the tartar sauce, but I think it is made in house, so that's good I suppose. All in all, plenty tasty, plenty of food for the price. Service was friendly, interior doesn't knock your socks off, but it is clean and bright, and they feature local art prints and originals. The art up when I went was pretty nice - I would have considered buying something were I not a poor student.

Soooo good. The burger patties are never frozen, and are cooked to perfection. The fried chicken sandwich is HUGE and juicy and delicious. The fries are yummy and crispy, the fried okra is amazing. I was really lucky to have this one restaurant to go to while living in Timbo for 8 months.

This by far is the best place to get a cheeseburger in the Mountain View area! I recommend the double cheeseburger, it is a monster with all the ingredients fresh as they can be and service is great also. This place is in Timbo about 10 miles out of Mountain View but it is well worth the drive and I can promise you won't be disappointed!!

The Timbo Dairy Bar is the ONLY game in town and on a sunny, Sunday afternoon it had steady traffic from the locals even after 2:00 p.m. Other reviews have been spot on and the five hour round trip made this an excellent stopping point. From the time you step in until you are heading out the door, you will be treated like family (Hun, Honey, Dear) addresses all. The menu is typical short order grill with lots of support from the deep fryer. And, it is a dairy bar serving every variation of soft serve delight. There was a daily special and today it was spaghetti. Nothing special; just good comfort food. There is inside and outside seating as well as a walk up window for ice cream orders. Hours are daily serving lunch and dinner seven days a week. For two-wheeled enthusiasts, the Timbo Dairy Bar is situated on a steep hill on the north side of Highway 66. The driveways and parking area are gravel so exercise caution.

Burger tasted like asshole served on a platter with extra diaherra on the side. They only gave me like 5 fries and they was crinkle cut. The cheesecake was actually horrible and way over priced. I paid $2 for a tiny piece. I could buy a whole cheesecake for that price. Overall trash dont go.
