Tienda Mexicana San Jose

Located just by the Taqueria Y Pupuseria Food truck is this Mexican Grocery store. And Yes thank goodness- they have a tiny unisex bathroom located behind the shop counter window! This store is divided into two spaces - the front part has religious and cultural stuff (what looked like baptism and/or quinceanera dresses and religious icons) while the back room has food items like beans, chips, rice, etc. it wasn't as stocked with fresh grocery like Emilio's but I guess it would do if you needed something in a pinch.I had a fun time checking this store out but honestly don't think would buy anything from here - my main reason to return would be to use the loo!Yelp Review: 25/2017

Legit pupusas. Se habla espanol only, but man! Those pupusas are incredible. Check them out if you're in the neighborhood. I drive from East Memphis. Bring cash. Bring friends. Grab a sixer from the Tienda.

The food was decent. Not worth $2 per chicken taco when you can go to any other taco truck and get them for 99 cents and they taste 10x times better. The cilantro wasn't even cut. It was legitimately still on the stem when I opened the box to my tacos. The salsa has no flavor. It just has spice to it from the jalepeños. The tortillas were also halfway warmed up and were kinda wet and soggy. Not from oil off of the food. It's just not warmed up all the way.
