Hands down best bar in Jackson! They offer cheap drinks, live music, good food, pool and darts. My go to place for sure!

I can see what the other reviewers are speaking of, you walk in there is no greeting, stoic faces behind a bar and even sitting down and waiting for 7 minutes did not bring up an attention of at least hello I will be with you in a moment or we don't want to be here so f*** off we'll get to you when we get to you.If you are a non-smoker danger will stay away stay away, it smells like rank booty in here I'm sorry I don't mean to offend you smokers but y'all stink!Parking lot is dainty, dark and dilapidated. Oh my gosh Jackson, Tennessee! This is like the go-to bar in Jackson outside of Mulligan's. This place is a little bit more classy with some more drink options and happy hour until an ungodly hour into the evening. To think I could get wasted on $20! That's unheard of it.It's kind of in a shotty area of Jackson, but if you can overlook the fact you might get robbed, you'll enjoy yourself. Watch out where you park your car becasue they have signs up that you could get towed if you park in the wrong area.If you like cheap drinks, billards, smoking inside, GOOD live music and a honkytock vibe outside of Nashville - then you should 'tap this'.

Bartending in Madison County has recently resorted to the alcoholics whom just want to work late hours. NOT AT THE TAP. RC is a very attentive yet fast paced bartender whom seems to have the atmosphere's best interest at heart. The stage, which hosts live music on certain nights, has a rustic (pallet) backdrop which hosts appropriate music for the atmosphere. For a Madison County bar, The Tap defiantly entertains from roots of Memphis mixed with Nashville. Great pool tables and dart boards noted.

My favorite bar in jackson by far! The staff is friendly and quick to take your order. Drinks are cheap and good! Weekends are super crowded and usually have a band playing. The weeknights are in my opinion the best times to go because I of open mic night and steak night (Tuesday and Thursday). Also the vibe is more laid back (and happy) during the week.

Limited options near our hotel led up to The Tap, and though we had a good time there I would be concerned about how sh*tty this bar gets later at night.The men's room has a sign that says, "Please don't hit our walls." This can't be a good omen. The atmosphere was great until karaoke started, at which point we took our cue and exited (no walls were harmed in the writing of this Yelp review). However, in the earlier hours of the Friday night we were there, RC was the bartender and was super friendly and entertaining. They have a really solid music selection, pool tables ($0.75 per game), and darts (not sure on the cost).Also have a nice happy hour that goes until 10 (yay!). Were I local, I think I would add this to my rotation.

It would be a good place to start a bar...They're not really interested in serving people. Tried for over 20 minutes to get a drink while standing directly in front of several bartenders. But they were doing their best not to make eye contact with me and just kept fiddling around with things to appear busy. Which is too bad because the proceeds of that night went to a good cause. Great place... not.

I would literally lose my shit for Carrie, she is the best woman in the whole world and she makes the environment so much fun!!!

Got kicked out for literally defending myself when someone tried to start a fight with me (he got to stay) over a game of pool that I wasn't involved in. The bouncers don't listen to anything and only threaten you and talk about your mother. 0 stars

Great local bar, good food and pool tables. Nice atmosphere. I travel alot not from Jackson. One of my go to spots.
