The Stables Downtown Grill

I love the little hole in the wall, historical vibe. The service was very good and the food delicious!

Looking for lunch, found them online. The Tupelo downtown is so adorable! The server was fast and friendly. I got a Club sandwich with fries and my mom a shrimp po' boy.She loved the po' boy, and this was seriously the BEST club of my life. Buttered and grilled bread, with swiss and (I think) cheddar cheese.Seriously the best Club I've ever eaten. They just bumped my previous favorite from 1991 (!) down to #2.One thing though, that was kind of surprising since we were there right at lunch - the fries weren't hot. :(

Burger was good! Service was okay! This is smoking establishment and I could hardly wait to leave, it smells awful! Smells like smoke of course bug smells moldy and covered up smoke and urine!

Nice little place. Personable staff, good beer, good drinks and pub grub. Menu is kind of limited but what they do; they do well. Very nice atmosphere good place for a quiet drink at the end of the day.

This place is tucked in an alley way but easy to find. We got there early to beat the lunch crowd. It filled up rather quickly. Total locals joint. Had a full bar that we didn't partake of. Next time. The menu is pretty basic which I appreciate. It means they are very good at what they do which is why we skipped past the salad option and ordered an array of fried options. We got fried pickles, fried okra, fried mushrooms, catfish nachos, cheeseburger, ribeye sandwich, potato skins (There were four of us). Fried okra was the best. Tasted fresh and had a really crispy breading. All of the food was good but not able to finish it. Service was good. I recommend going here if you can beat the lunch crowd. :)

Shawna was delightful. She was enthusiastic and fun and made you want to come back and hang out with her the next time she's working. And the burger was amazing. After a long, dull drive it was cool to relax in a dimly lit, steamy little alley way and enjoy my meal. But I hope the city of Tupelo gets their act together and allows a bar patron to have a mixed drink in the alleyway. Beer lovers can drink until they pass out but a guy who wants a mixed drink has to drink it inside. Lame.Oh. Don't forget to check out the elk head near the bar. It's an impressive example of non-typical antlers.

Good time relaxed atmospheres friendly and sociable even if you're from out of town and don't know a soul. food is always exceptional one of the best chefs in our area. always leave feeling happy and content.

Great food and atmosphere. The seems like an old speakeasy from time back. The drink was good and strong and the shrimp po boy was very good. I would recommend.
