The River Barbecue Company

Went there at 6:15 to grab a couple racks with some sides, but was told they weren't serving anymore. They close at 7. Why post hours if you're not going to stick to them? I usually eat here 2 to 3 times a month, but from now on , I'll go to Selmer instead.

DOUBLE TO RIGHT TO DRIVE IN A RUN. Stopped here while traveling back through this part of Tennessee and grabbed lunch. Solid move. I had the smoked pulled chicken and it rocked! Great Smokey flavor and very juicy. I also had the coleslaw which was very good too. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Highly recommend this place.

Excellent meats, great service. You won't be disappointed. Try the cheese curds too! We will be back.

Was driving through Adamsville saw the river barbecue and decide to give it a try . Was very pleased with our decision . Great food and very friendly folks that worked there. We were in route to visit The Buford Pusser museum, they gave us information on other sites to see. Will definitely go back again.

Came to Adamsville in search of a place to eat and found it. A Great BBQ place with a tasty menu there is a lot to try. The Rib Wrecker is a sandwich that puts the McRib to shame. Their cole slaw is great and the chicken is also excellent. If I were to ding the place for anything it's the drink options (just coke products) but that is nit picking. If you find your way to Adamsville stop by and get your BBQ on.

Good food and very friendly people. I ordered the BBBQ pork sandwich & the waitress put the sauce & the slaw in the side without me having to ask. The sandwich was delicious.

The service was wonderful. The food was so so. The bbq was good but the beans just weren't as good.

The meat was really good, but with the sole exception of the slaw, all the sides came out of a can or box. The Mac and Cheese is literally boxed Kraft Mac and Cheese without amendments of any kind. This is $2.50 for about 35¢ worth of Kraft Mac and Cheese. The potato salad is boring industrial sweetish tater salad with a little mustard. The hot slaw is made with their sweet hot BBQ sauce. The regular slaw was the best of the sides, at least it seemed homemade.The brisket was really good, and the ribs very tender but pretty plain without sauce. The sauces are good.

Best bbq I've found in the area. The brisket melts in your mouth and you have to eat the ribs with a fork because they fall straight off the bone. They have amazing sauces and sides too, the hot coleslaw packs a punch.
