Under New Management, Best it's Ever Been. Fish is delicious ( don't believe you will find any better anywhere). Hush Puppies moist and delicous, White Beans delicious. Slaw Mayonnaise or Vinegar Great. Have been Going there for Over 20 Years. It is best it's ever been including Service and Food. If ever in area it's worth going 20 miles out of way to eat there.

Small town, rural Tennessee cooking. Very simple menu and salad bar, servings are large - two people could easily share a plate. Not exactly cheap... but definitely not expensive. Cornmeal fried catfish is one of the star menu items, it's good. The staff is friendly and the space is well set for family dinners. Good for a simple, local, affordable family dinner out.**Salad bar lovers beware: there is NO BLUE CHEESE DRESSING OR BLUE CHEESE. It's not a Ruby Tuesday level salad bar.**

The food is really good. We have been eating at the Ridge Restaurant for years and years and it is always good.

My mom and I stopped in here for lunch and had a horrible experience. The minute we walked in I overheard a man say "Y'all might as well go home" Thinking I'd misheard him we sat down at a booth in the middle of the resturant. Most of the groups around us already had their food. There were two or three female employees who looked at my mother and I then walked into the back and the one waitress left walked by our table 4 times without even glancing in our direction. This waitress had short curly gray hair glasses and was medium height and weight. For whatever reason she completely and in my opinion intentionally ignored us for 15 minutes. Our breaking point came was when a local lady came in and sat next to us and the grumpy waitress greeted her by name then asked "Can I get you a sweet tea?" My mom and I got up and left. I have worked as a server and typically am a great patron but this place is for locals only (The irony being I live 20 miles away in another town) But if you look at all like "U aint from these here parts" you might as well go on down the road to Hank's Diner where the waitresses are sweet as pie !
