The Restaurant at Henry Horton

The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. It has amazing views! It's nice and cozy and quiet. The Baked Gouda Grits were good and the chicken sandwich was okay. The service was excellent! They were very nice and attentive but the wait for the food to hit the table was decently long. Very beautiful place though!

Quite literally the worst dining experience I've ever had. Was originally told there would be a 30 minute wait. After about 45 minutes I made a comment to my husband saying "this is longer than 30 minutes" the host immediately said "oh are you guys ready?" As if he was waiting for us and sat us. The restaurant was no where near full so I don't know why we had to wait so long. We were sat and they were out of so many things so multiple people in our party had to adjust their orders. Then we wait almost 2 hours for our food . Not once did someone come tell us sorry for the wait or anything. We try going to the bar to order drinks while we waited . No bartender there. We had two small children with us and luckily they were on fairly good behavior all things considering . Our food finally arrived and the smashburgers were extremely overcooked. I know how smashburgers are made but these were blackened. Every single order was underwhelming . And we saw people who arrived after us get their food and even pay before we were even served. It was unlike anything I've ever seen. They tried to make it right by comping one smashburger and giving us dessert so I feel ok about it but I would never ever recommend this place.

First time trying tonight and was pleasantly surprised. Good mix of folks dining this evening, both campers and local folks out to dinner with the family.Service was excellent. The waitress serving us was on top of everything. Extra napkins and drinks were brought out before we needed to ask. Her drink recommendation was spot on as well. My wife enjoyed the caramel apple sangria! There is a full bar if you wanted to stop by to watch the game or wanted to come for cocktails with friends.Food was good as well. Southwestern Egg-roll appetizer was delicious. My wife said it was the best she's had.Beer cheese burger was a little messy but worth it. Burger was cooked well and the addition of the jalapeños mixed with the cheese was great. Fries were perfectly cooked as a side.Brought home the chicken tender plate to a picky teenager and he gave it glowing reviews. Glad we tried it. Definitely will be back. I'd recommend trying it if you are nearby. It is definitely not just for the folks camping. It would be a good place to take the family for a night out.

Food was great! Service was a bit slow at first but we were comped dessert to make up for the delay. We went right before busy season. Everyone enjoyed their meal. (They smother the jalapeños on so if you don't love a lot of them, ask for them on the side.) Ambiance and atmosphere was great. Cute outdoor patio seating. Not pictured was our dessert. We tried both the chocolate cake with ice cream and the blondie with pecan ice cream. Comes with several scoops of ice cream. Blondie was the best!

Service is always great! Especially Tawny at the bar. She is consistently friendly and accommodating. She remembers your favorite items.

We went to dinner on Saturday night with the family and everything was great, the food and the service. So happy to have a place close by to go to!

The food was delicious! We enjoyed everything we ordered. For a place located in the middle of nowhere, it was delish!!!!

30-40 minute wait for Sunday lunch with many tables empty and available. I counted 5 waitstaff so maybe it was the kitchen having troubles. Then a 30-40 minute wait for food. We noticed a table of 9 seated 10 minutes before us didn't get their meals until 15 minutes after ours. Maybe it's a management issue. Of our four meals, chicken sandwich and Gouda grits were good. Beautiful facility but won't return.

What a nice facility. I wish it had been warm enough for the patio but inside was lovely. They were a little short staffed but our server, Kayleigh , was a little energizer bunny and did a great job. So sweet. The catfish bites were great and loved the shoestring fries. My husband loved the burger. A good choice for anyone in the area!

We had a family meal with people coming from several locations. We were pleasantly surprised. It was a nice facility. Definitely an upgrade from other restaurant. The waitstaff was great too.
