The Milkshakery

This is a cute little shop in Waverly that does all things ice cream. The prices are affordable and cheaper than the other name brand restaurants that offer the same fancy ice creams. The cereal sundae was tasty. I don't like chocolate and it had the most appetizing toppings. It is big enough to share. You won't want to have it solo. By the time I ate the whipped cream, I was full. The banana split was loaded also. This too is one that should be shared. We made the mistake and ordered two full desserts. The service was great and it took a little while to make because obviously, the sundae is loaded with items. The wait was worth it. Cute little ice cream parlor seating and decor. She was friendly and accommodating. I can see this being really busy on a weekend in the summer, but on a snowy weekday, it did just fine.

Weary travelers from a detour, we found the gem just in time! The paninis were flavorful and the place had small town charm. I ordered an Italian, my husband had a pizza panini and our friends had the turkey. They came with chips. The service was quick and friendly. The only reason the review isn't a 5 is because the young lady forgot one of the sandwiches. She did put a rush on it though.

The ice cream is outstanding, service is amazing, the ambiance is nice and cozy. I had a great time enjoying ice cream with my family.

My whole family enjoyed the ice cream and shakes. The ladies behind the counter were friendly.

This place is the shining star of Waverly! Delicious ice cream and excellent service had brought us back each day of our vacation.

I wish we had taken a picture, but these sort of things rarely last in pristine condition for very long at my table. Blue Bell Ice Cream is the base for these beautiful creations, so it would be hard to mess up too badly. I had the Outrageous Brownie milkshake, which was loaded with chocolate everything! Even Cocoa Pebbles were attached to the outside of the glass in some sort of chocolate pave! To get a milkshake this decadent in Waverly, in the past, you would have to go to someone's house or to Nashville! Here's the best part of it all for me. The kids working the counter are POLITE, and actually seem to be happy that you walked in! My daughter once asked me if there would be ice cream in heaven. I told her I didn't see how it could be heaven without it. As far as I'm concerned, The Milkshakery deserves the concession contract!

Local, handmade, perfect stop when you're out seeing the countryside! Great shakes, sodas and more.

We drove 1 hour to try this place out after seeing it featured on Tennessee Crossroads. It was closed and their hours online shows open 24 hours! Of course we figured this was a mistake and saw a picture of their posted hours, yet they were wrong too!
