The Lunch Basket Express

Honestly, the best fried chicken I have ever had was here. I was visiting a friend in the Delta and she swore that the best fried chicken was at the Double Quick. We went there on my first night and it was pretty good, but we came here for lunch the next day and this chicken was far superior. And I mean really. Plus, so many more options! I got a couple of fried drumsticks, a sausage, collard greens, mac and cheese, cornbread, fried okra, banana pudding, and the sweetest sweet tea you ever did taste. And I loved every bite! This place is southern home-cookin' at its finest and the people who work here are so friendly and hospitable.Definitely would recommend and whenever I am back in Belzoni, this is where I will be heading first!

Southern eating at its best. Great food in a small establishment with the friendliest people you could ever meet. I've stopped in before on a Sunday for the Sunday buffet while passing through Belzoni. Absolutely a great meal!!

Every time I visit Belzoni, I have to get something from the Lunch Basket. It's a must! From lunch to short orders, they have it all. Thanks for serving the Humphreys County community with great food and service.

We stop at a lot of road side diners and love country style buffets. This place is one of our favorites! Six meat choices, ten vegetables, three salads, two deserts, real home made cornbread and rolls. Banana pudding to die for. The interior is cool, clean and friendly.

Eat here every 1st and 3rd Sundays after Church service! Love the buffet! Sunday dinner taken care of!

We had such a wonderful experience here. We're from Oklahoma and were passing through and stopped here because of all the cars. Everyone was so friendly...the customers and the waitresses make us feel at home. The buffet is an interesting mix of meat, chicken and seafood. The variety of vegetables was terrific. Our food was DELICIOUS! The meats were so tender and flavorful. Both my husband and I both said we felt as if we were eating our Grandmother's cooking! We will drive out of our way to eat this meal again which was prepared with such soul!
