Not sure why it took me so long to get down here (granted I have wondered about eating at the Bass Pro) but glad I finally made it because we had such an incredible time, some amazing service and food. So let's get to it. The Lookout is both the restaurant at the top of the Memphis pyramid and its observation deck. The observation deck gives ya a great view of the Mississippi & downtown both. But let's focus on the restaurant. Family was in from out of town (I am semi-local and my local sister with us too). We wanted lunch but something nicer, where the meal would be more than a standard meal and The Lookout has delivered several times for my sister so we decided this was the way to go. All five of us agreed we had a great day and The Lookout and our go-to Traci were a part of that! DRINKS -- with a big group of adults some always have the flexibility to enjoy cocktails and some in our group happily partaked! - the espresso martini was a showpiece that demanded photos, videos and was so tasty multiples were ordered and others joined in! - there was a lemonade something that was fully enjoyed - the spicy margarita wasn't quite spicy enough, the table decided it should have a few slices in it to kick it up some more but we like spicy - The FOOD -- All five of us had lunch and several drinks were ordered too. My sister said everyone has always enjoyed whatever they ordered and Traci provided insights too where anyone had questions. - the salmon BLT was what I ordered. It came with Parmesan fries. Both were really yummy and I wish I had gone there hungrier so I could finish it. One of my cousins had the sandwich too and he wanted a bit more of the aoili for his, I thought the amount was perfect. That was about the only criticism at our table. - the wedge salad was shared by two of the cousins.... They loved it so much we ended up having an in-depth discussion of blue cheese and wedge salads, the good the bad and the ugly. This one was good, very good. - the ribs were served to the delight of the other cousin sharing the wedge salad. She ate them making sure we all knew the bourbon sauce on them was finger licking good! Another cousin had to get a taste and fervently agreed. - my sister has the Southwest Cobb Salad and paid a small upcharge to have it played with salmon rather than chicken. She enjoyed every bite! - the final cousin got the catfish po-boy with fries. It led to a discussion on whether or not grilled catfish is an option (in our family it is not LOL) and how corn meal is required and seasoning important. He fully enjoyed the sandwich - there was a lip- licking layered strawberry dessert we all shared at Traci's urging and it was still getting rave reviews hours later. All of that was enjoyed at a relaxed pace with lots of laughter and stories shared. Throughout Traci checked in, kept all of us happy! After lunch we enjoyed the views!

I made reservations to eat at this establishment which if you canceled it was $10 per person cancellation. We arrived and then had to pay $10.00 per person to ride the elevator to get to the restaurant. Once we got to the top and seated the waitress took a while to even come take a drink order. The food was not anything special. I got the pulled pork grilled cheese. It came out cold and cheese was not melted. The bread was burnt and tasted terrible. The fries weren't bad. The table was located right against and next to the exit door which had a Christmas tree and decorated area so people were walking by the table in to view that and bumping chairs at our table. This place is nothing special so don't waste your time, money or appetite. They got a 1 because the fries were not bad.

When visiting the pyramid in Memphis this is a nice side step to get in. At the top of the pyramid is a section that you have to pay to enter, but it is totally worth it. I will preface this with the fact that I only came here to go to the lookout and not eat at the Lookout.Basically locate the elevator in the middle of the building and approach. Buy yourself a ticket and all you have to do is wait for the elevator to take the long trip up/down the tower. When you exit the elevator at the top follow the signs to the observation decks and take in the view. It may take you a few minutes to adjust when you step out onto the platform as it is meant to be a glass floor. Some of the panels, however, may need a good cleaning so that you can see through the floor. One observation deck allows for you to see out over the city of Memphis. The other observation deck looks out over the Mississippi and feels more rural than urban in view. To go between the observation decks you have to walk through the restaurant. When you are done taking in the view, just head back to the elevator to go back down. It can be as long of an experience as you want to make it out to be.

There's admission to ride the elevator up. Great drinks. Friendly bartender. Amazing views. There's a restaurant as well, but we only had drinks.

28 floors up at The Pyramid, this place could be a winner with a little thought and care for the customers. With prices reminiscent of fine dining and a menu with some impressive items, I was ready to enjoy my entry into 2025 with a spectacular meal. Unfortunately, I got less than that. Cocktails are fine, with some twists on classics, like peanut butter flavor in an expresso martini and some artwork as well. I opted for the duroc pork chop which suffered from some uneven cooking resulting in some raw meat close to the bone and dry spots elsewhere. The glaze was great but applied sparingly and it would have been nice to have a more generous application. The fried chicken they are known for is only available at lunch so the herbed chicken it was. The biggest issue, however, was the inability to separate the diners from tourists who rode up for the view. While some areas of the restaurant had barriers to prevent migration of viewers, others had no separation. We were seated alongside the window, tucked under a dark area and had multiple visitors table side checking out our view. It was to say the least disruptive. Additionally, there is no signage as you get off the elevator directing diners to the hostess and we wandered trying to find someone to lead us to our table.

Had to make the pilgrimage to the second largest pyramid in the US, which also happens to be the home of Bass Pro Shops and Ducks Unlimited. The store is absolutely massive also boasting a hotel and other activities as well. The highlight however, is The Lookout that has some of the best views of the Mississippi River and the Memphis skyline. I cannot recommend visiting The Lookout during sunset enough. The restaurant and bar were pretty big. Although we didn't have any food, the drinks were pretty good. We had their espresso martini which was unique as it used Skrewball (peanut butter whiskey). The price of the drinks were after you factored in the cost to go up the elevator too.If you're in Memphis and want a great view of the River, check out The Lookout!

I gave the Lookout a 4 star rating for being unique otherwise it would had received a 3.While staying the night in Memphis we decided to go to the Lookout restaurant. I had the fish and crab and my wife had baby back ribs. Unfortunately both were average. They were both around $40 each. We had to sit at the bar since we didn't have reservations which was fine and the service was good.Overall the food was average and overpriced.

Driving around Memphis, the Pyramid stands out and our group of 4 decided to try the restaurant at the top. There's plenty of parking, since the Pyramid is a massive Bass Pro Shop with restaurants and hotels inside. We had made reservations ahead of time and made our way quickly to the elevator. Be prepared for the long wait for the elevator. NOTE: The elevator costs $10/person ($5/children). No discount for eating at the restaurant. When we finally made it to the top after a long wait, we were quickly seated. You have great views of the Mississippi and Memphis. I attempted to order the Catfish, but they were sold out.So I ordered the Genny Morris Fried Chicken ($26). This was fine, but on the pricey side. Chicken was crispy, but a bit too much of the country thyme gravy on top. After our lunch, we stepped outside on the terrace and took in the views.

I visited for the first time since it's opening. I have been to the Bass Pro Shop several times and was always intrigued about The Lookout. We finally had the opportunity to go. Let me start out with the elevator ride up. You must pay an $8 fee. Once you are on, there is a history lesson on how the Bass Pro Shop came about. It's a nice touch to the experience. Once you make it to the top, you are seated and able to go out and enjoy the view. I stood out on the balcony for a split second (heights are not my thing) lol!Once seated, we started with our orders. I had the crab stuffed egg rolls. I am not a fan of them. The texture threw me off. It was too moist and had too much off the sauce which made them a bit soggy. The buffalo sauce kind of help save them. For food I ordered the Bourbon wings. They were pretty good. The bourbon sauce was a bit sweet and spicy. They were fried the way I like my wing...crispy! The service was good. It is a nice family environment and very spacious. I love that the theme is maintained throughout. I plan to visit them again soon to try other items!

I'll preface by saying we did NOT eat or drink here, so I cannot provide any feedback there. You have to take an elevator which is located in the center of the bass pro pyramid. It costs $8 per person to take the elevator upstairs (which seems a little pricey) but the views from the top are awesome. In the lookout restaurant they have funky lake inspired decor and a giant aquarium in the center. There is a full bar and menu available to enjoy. Alternatively, you can enjoy the lookout views and when you've snapped your photos head back down for my bass pro fun.
