The Liquor Store

I just love the way this place looks. I don't know what I was expecting walking in a "liquor store" for the first time for lunch, but a Miami, Florida coffee shop/diner feel was not it, but it works great and looks so nice. We were greeted immediately and sat right away. Our server was very nice and attentive. The food was pretty good. I'd like to come back and try other sandwiches. I had the patty melt and it had a lot of flavor. The sauce in it is pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the seasoning on the fries. They were cooked well, but pretty salty and overwhelming. They had like a chili lime taste. Next time I'll omit the seasoning. My oldest son had the New York chopped cheese. He liked it, but I tried it and preferred the patty melt flavors over that one. I'll definitely have to get some breakfast items next time because the pancake and cheesy eggs were amazing for being so simple. The bacon was over cooked. All in all, we'll be back to try more of the menu.

I came to the Liquor Store but didn't have any drinks (except for coffee). We were here the morning after a snow storm so the restaurant was pretty quiet. The restaurant has a unique "islandish" charm that was nice getaway from the weather outside. We ordered the Sopapillas to start our breakfast. Sopapillas are a delicious deep fried puff pastry. They combined perfectly with the Mexican chocolate sauce. I ordered the Classic Breakfast Plate. It included eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast, and I thought it was a very nice way to start our day before we started driving to Nashville.

Adorable ambiance and decor. Visited the Broad Avenue location. Cutely decorated with Christmas decor from top to bottom. This Filipino Breakfast platter was delicious. New owners, still tropically delicious and diverse menu. Service was excellent. Polite staff. Would return.

Cuban sandwich and cafe with tired for beguines but they where out they have ! Waiting for Cuban and having conversation with waitress she is nice!

Atmosphere was so cool! Caribbean feel and menu. Drinks were spot on, as well as service!

The whole vibe wasn't me whatsoever, it was dull and dry. Alcoholic beverage was not so great either and food was alright, nothing special stood out about the establishment.

How can you pass up a place called The Liquor Store? And it serves Breakfast!? I was hooked. The aesthetic of the place is so cute. The staff was super friendly and helped us decide on drinks. I live up north and let me tell you the south knows how to season! The food was delicious.

Boyfriend and I went around 9AM Saturday and were able to seated immediately. Got our waters pretty quickly and put in our order shortly after. Waited probably a little over half an hour to get unfortunately underwhelming food. Boyfriend compared the sausage he got with his pancake stack to those he would get in a school cafeteria. The beef patty in my loco moco was unfortunately so dry that the dish being mostly saucy was its only saving grace. The only thing we agreed was good was the pancakes, which seems to line up with everybody else's reviews. To us, the quality of the food didn't justify the wait. The pair sitting next to us also seemed to be waiting even longer than us for their food despite coming in shortly after us. We wanted to like this place as we enjoy visiting the area but our experience was so disappointing we probably won't be coming back.

Super cute tropical vibe spot with comfort food and friendly staff. We visited a few days after a snowstorm. The space and the people were warm, friendly, & inviting. The island vibes transported us from the ice and snow outside. We were seated immediately, but we had come pretty early in the day so I'm guessing there would have been a wait if we had showed up a couple of hours later. I ordered the sweet potato hash and my husband got the steak and eggs. Our food came out quick. My eggs were cooked to order and the bacon was perfect. The sweet potatoes weren't much to my liking though. I thought they would be freshly chopped and crispy, but they looked straight out of the can along with the spinach and were very mushy. I might have just gotten a bad batch, but I would not order again. Our waiter was so overly nice about it and said he would give my feedback to the cook. I honestly wasn't that put off by it though. With everything else they had to offer, I'd love to come back and try something else!

I finally got to visit the Liquor Store during their holiday Miracle pop up. The drinks, the food and the ambiance all put me in a festive mood.
