I had many reservations about enrolling my daughter in dance. I had done it at age 2 and had a love/hate relationship with ballet and tap. I was a mama's girl and couldn't handle extra curricular activities til my teens. My daughter is one of a kind - she took to it beautifully and I have to say that Dance Academy of Bartlett did everything in their power to make it an easy start. The staff at DAB are so easy going and yet extremely knowledgeable. I expected to have snooty people to deal with, but these guys are down to earth. Love that! The prices are reasonable and they are one of the few with daytime classes that help a nighttime working mama out. Plus - the littles really perform better pre naptime anyway right? My daughter's instructor- Ms. Evelyn - is enchanting and works SO well with little ones. She offers constructive advice on how to improve your child's coordination and gives your child lots of praise. My girl can't wait to go to class! For nervous moms- they have a closed circuit tv that you can watch the class on. It's oddly addictive to see what your child does when you're not there.

I can't believe I'm the first to review this studio. It's been around since 1997. I found the DAB on Facebook after seeing many 5 star reviews. I signed my daughter up after coming to open enrollment. This studio has dance classes from 3 years - 18 years. They have lots of classes and many dancers. They've started tumbling classes for ages 4-18 and have various dance classes on Mon through Saturday. They offer auto payments so you won't have to remember a payment. The end of year recital is in June and they offer dance camps during the summer months. This is our first year, but so far we are impressed. Our daughter really enjoys her time at the dance studio.

A great big Kudos to the staff at the Dance Academy of Bartlett. They teach dance to children from the age of 3 all the way up to 18. My granddaughter was enrolled with them. This morning was their recital. The older kids did a ballet using the music and telling the story of the Wizard of Oz. The choreography was sensitive and obviously put together with a great deal of professionalism. Some of the older girls, in my humble opinion, seemed to have attained to a level of professionalism as well. I think that the recital, itself, provided a vision to the younger kids and their parents just to what level, they could attain, if they so chose. Of course, the choreography was appropriately suited for each age group. But I must admitted that my granddaughter stole the show.
