This is a country diner. Coffee comes from a pot, sugar's on the table. Reminders of time past, are all over the walls. It has a simple breakfast and lunch menu. Everything is made good and inexpensive. The waiter and waitresses learn their customers. Food comes fast and on point. Best place in town for 3 eggs over medium. Yolks are perfect each time, never runny or solid. I eat there 3 days a week on avg. $20 covers a full breakfast, coffee, and tip! Also, the tea is perfect. They have the good ice.

We've been coming to the country skillet for a little over a year now. The servers are always polite warm and welcoming. Even when busy their service is top tier. The environment is cozy and has a bunch of cool wall decor. This place is truly a gem.I always go with their beef and vegetable soup with grilled cheese and it never disappoints

We were already on vacation, We already had the rental car, We were already hungry and on the road. So, OF COURSE a quick trip over to Mississippi for breakfast made sense at the time...Too say that this place is decorated like an old roadside diner is pushing it a bit. Everything on the walls is a little too new and too shiny, but the food was really good and the service was great! Probably the best corned beef hash I've ever had, but the sausage gravy needed a bit more seasoning if they wanted 4 stars.

The food was perfect. The service was perfect. The ambiance is kitschy in the best way. This is a hole in the wall place, filled with locals. Loyal locals to the point that the servers know their names and orders. The locals are also quite friendly and quick to offer suggestions if you ask.

Super friendly staff. You can tell there are a lot of regulars here. Best breakfast food in Southaven. The country fried steak is my jam.

Customer Service was Awesome. Gerri Lee, was Amazing and she gets a 10 stars. I had a call in. The pancakes were cold. I couldn't eat them. The sausages were ok and the eggs were delicious. I prefer Waffle House or Cracker Barrel. Things would have been different if I had of set in and ate, but I was rushing.

While in town for Father's Day weekend, my partner, her mother and her grandfather and I went to breakfast here on aforementioned holiday. It's a quaint place that has a real southern/country charm. I was fairly excited about trying this place out. This is very reminiscent of a self op Waffle House but bigger. The biscuits appear to be homemade but were they had a distant memory of being hot much less warm. No condiments on the tables without requesting, which I guess could help with overhead but kind of a pain for diners. The food itself was nothing to write home about, sadly. I don't believe any of us were overtly impressed with our meals aside of the prices. A-OK for cheap eats but aside from that, nothing that impressive. Also, our server was MIA for the majority of our meal. I had to either get up and inquire for things or just go to other staff to get assistance.

As a out of towner here for baseball, I was Blessed to come across the Country Skillet. The service was excellent and I had Brandy as my server ( who was the friendliest ,most helpful, and such a joy, cute too.. ) but the entire staff was absolutely the best !!! They made us feel so welcome and so at ease in a restaurant full of charm , character and Blessed by God .. The food was awesome, I had the skillet plate , ( sausage , eggs, onions, cheese, hash browns with a pancake to boot, and it was all delicious. The house was full, so you know they want more. They Love God, America, and Bull dogs.. my kinda place and I know you won't be sorry to go and say hello and tell them Keith sent you. You won't be sorry you stopped by to say hello and get a great meal !!!

The service was excellent; however, the food wasn't all that good. I ordered a breakfast skillet, and my food was not hot when I received it. The cafe was small, but packed. The hostesses were very friendly .
