The food here is amazing--the best I've tasted in a while. I've had the sauced tenders, onion rings, and cheese sticks. Nothing about this meal was greasy, full of flavor, and the best onion rings I've had!! The pricing of the food here is cheap compared to the amount you get on your plate; you definitely get a lot for what you pay for! The service is great and friendly. The atmosphere is great, but I do wish there was music playing in the front and tables outside for us to eat outside. Besides that, it was a perfect place to dine!! I look forward to eating here again!!

Tried today for the first time and it's a great family friendly place. Bought their banana nut bread and it's to die for! It was moist and had great flavor. Fried green tomatoes with ranch dressing was great. This is our new to go place. Can't wait to try their other breads.

Nice family owned clean comfy place to eat in Ashland MS that I enjoy with my coworkers. The staff is nice. Need a few more options on the menu would be great. There aren't many places in Ashland to eat. Easy to get burnt out on the few that's there.

BEST KEPT SECRET. We were in town for a festival. Got here early and needed lunch. I had garlic parmesan chicken strips with a side of onion rings. My dad had the patty melt and seasoned fries. We both had a slice of the most amazing Friendship Bread I have ever tasted. It took me back to my youth. I asked if they had the Friendship Bread starter, and they provided me with some!! The chicken strips were Devine, tender and juicy on the inside, deliciously hand battered and fried crispy, then dipped in the perfect amount of (i.e. not swimming in) garlic parmesan sauce. The onion rings were the best I have tasted in ages. Nothing was pre-frozen. You could taste the difference in fresh meat and fresh cut and battered onions. Definitely a surprise to find this place. Would recommend. Will be back!!

This place was very much needed in Ashland. Sadly, they had been opened for well over a year, I believe, before I even knew it existed. I made a ton of trips to Shakerz that I would have much rather made to this place instead. But now that I know about it.. Great! On the rarity that I eat out, I'll know where to go. No drive-thru necessary. The garlic parmesan chicken sandwich is possibly one of the best things I've ever eaten. The food is a little on the expensive side.. But.. That's true everywhere. One negative (which is very likely out of the Cottage Cafe's control) is the parking lot.. Super bumpy. But, this is Ashland. Nothing new there. That doesn't effect this review. I believe someone else owns the lot and building.

This is our favorite place to eat! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and the food selection is great. They have everthing from a thick fried bologna sandwich (my grandsons personal favorite) too healthier options such a salads. My favorite salad is their sweet kale salad with poppy seed dressing. They also have a variety of breads packaged in take home loaves. I usually get one or two loaves to take to work for breakfast at our house. Mt favorites address banana nut and caramel walnut. One of the neat things about eating here is that you can shop while you wait. They have a boutique area filled with soaps, clothing items, wall decor, etc.
