So many different rooms and options for kids!Took my 16 month old (walking); of course our favorite was the toddler area, which genuinely is fun for anyone under 4 years old, even none walkers. So much to do. Will say the rest of the museum is a little more for 4 and up for sure. Carousel is a little hard to find, but worth the extra few dollars. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there were a few parties taking place but it wasn't super crowded. They charge for everything but it clearly states that on the website, so it is what it is. The front bathroom was a little dirty, but back of the building bathrooms 10/10 clean.

I never been to the children's museum before so it was a great experience. It's fine. It's a lot of cool things and cool artifacts and stuff about the past very interesting and the movie we watched was about space it was pretty cool so I will I will go back again. But beware you will get lost and they close at five. I think just make sure you find your way out. Lol

I was thoroughly impressed (even a bit surprised) when we finally made our way to the Children's Museum in Memphis with our 1.5 year old. There are tons of spaces and unique things to do in the museum that you can definitely get a full day's worth of fun here (and a full day of energy out of a little one as well). We spent a good chunk of our time in the splash pad area, as it closes in early September, but we also explored some other areas and found there to be a ton of stuff to do. The outside areas are also fun with the pseudo zipline (open and closed seating) and the playground jungle gym areas. From the typical stuff you would see in a children's museum to some Memphis specifics, I'd definitely suggest giving it a go.My only complaint? It definitely needs to be updated and overhauled as a whole (and renovated in several areas). It doesn't look like it has gotten that in a while, and it shows.

It's been a while since I visited, but still the same as before. My niece decided she wanted to spend the day here while in town for her birthday, and I obliged. She ran all around, filled with excitement. Parking was easy. Upon payment at entry, they add on the parking fee. We added a carousel ticket as well for her. Payment with debit or credit card is simple. Most of the areas were clean and easy to navigate. There was a short line for the grocery shopping area. There is a small rock climbing wall, firetrucks, Autozone car shop, play kitchen and more. She really liked the carousel as well. It didn't take more than 3 minutes for her to be able to shop. It is a very informative and interactive way for kids to spend the day, so it's a great place to visit. By the time we left 3 hours later, she instantly fell asleep in the car.

We loved our visit here. It's great with a lot of kids. Especially something fun to do inside in the winter or on a colder day. I do wish parents did not have to pay for themselves. We don't end up doing much but watching our kids run around, other than maybe helping them interact with the centers. But the activities are for kids and yet we pay the most for ourselves. However we still really enjoyed our visit here and would recommend.

The kiddos and I from my job had so much fun! This is a place that I have visited multiple times over the year and I love it. The staff is always friendly and there is a lot for the children to do.When we first arrived we sat in a general area and watched a short film prepping us for our visit. After the video, we rode the carrousel and the children liked it. Once we were done there, we explored the museum and it was something active and fun for the children to do in every area. I love this place for small children. It will continue to be a place that I explore with the little ones.

Nice museum. My kids, ages 5 to 10, had a great time. It is not has epic as Houston's but nice and affordable with plenty to do. I think they need to add a restaurant or something. We had to eat lunch out of the vending machine.

It was our turn to take our great-granddaughter - a toddler. I usually dread 'kid' places but this has so many things of interest to her (and might I add - apparently up to pre-teens) that the time went swiftly and pleasantly. In case you don't read the entire review, let me recommend the carousel. It was built in 1903, was at the midtown fairgrounds for many years (and reportedly has some Elvis connection) and has been immaculately restored. It runs every 15 minutes starting at the top of the hour, so if you have an impatient tyke, you can time it to eliminate long waits. The kitchen area is fairly large and dominated our Childs imagination, though the Fed-ex 'hub' with it's in-plane camera engendered a lot of cooperation among kids. There's a grocery where you can 'buy and scan things, a theater where you'll appear on camera; giant 'erector' set (can't think of the real name) where you can connect wheels, hubs, spokes; A vibrating table emulating an earthquake (shakes blocks you've built on it); a mist 'tornado' you can interrupt with your hand; things to throw; things to turn - too many things for one visit. The day we visited was great - little to no waiting. However, I'd recommend calling to insure you don't share the place with a large group/school outing.
