What an upgrade from the old buffet. Hadn't visited Pickwick area in a long time. Took a two day Covid break after getting second shot. Inn at the park has been updated but ...The restaurant is top notch. Staff friendly, helpful and hard working. The seemed to really enjoy serving. The food... as good a catfish as I've ever eaten. Well seasoned, fried perfectly and not greasy. Light and tender. Salads good with fresh ingredients. Sides tasty but they give you a massive portion. Unless your a professional eater or a teenage boy, two adults could split an order and be satisfied. A real pleasure to dine here.

I was really excited that Pickwick finally got a new restaurant until I waited 45 minutes to get a WATER. The waitress staff here is a joke and I should have been smarter and left once my drink took too long but wanted to give the food a chance. I wrote this review one hour and 45 minutes in without food! The food I waited 2 hours for was honesty nothing to write home about (I ordered the salmon and it was cold when I got it). I had high hopes after their renovation and getting rid of the buffet and moving to a new menu, but they have made it obvious that the buffet was their only saving grace in their last restaurant. Will not be back until I hear MULTIPLE high reviews that they have changed all the above.

Several years ago while on vacation, I had dinner at The Captain's Galley. They have a nice lakeside atmosphere which is reminiscent of the big lodges you see up north. They have an excellent menu selection and the food I had was delicious.

The food is terrible. Not much more to say other than it's like bland awful hospital cafeteria food. The waitress grabbed napkins off our table to kill a spider on the chair next to my husband and baby. She missed and tried again. Didn't want to see a dead spider while I was trying to have lunch. The views are potentially really great of the lake but really hard to see with the dirty windows. Save yourself the time and money and don't eat here.

I had fried fish with the fixins & it was very good. I recommend sitting by the window so you can take in the beautiful view. Oh & under the recommendation of my waitress I tried a drink from the menu. They have a mixed drink list that spotlights some of the local & state distilleries. I see now why the restaurant is top rated for this area. Great staff & atmosphere most definitely!
