The Bully Gorilla Bar

I walked in on a rainy February day. I was the only customer and very hungry. They whipped up some pork nachos fast that really hit the spot! The conversation with the staff was lively. The cost was low for a tourist town. A great place if you want to balance spending in a tourist area.

Ate here last Saturday night. It's a great downtown Paducah late night spot. You gotta get the cooked to order cheese burgers. They hit the spot after a night out partying.

Great burgers and good service, I saw a review on here that was a 1 , but that is because you half to be 21 to enter, they should have known before going

First time coming. The burgers were very tasty but getting them was very slow. The place was not that crowed when we arrived but took forever to get our food and not sure why. It did get filled up as we waited. I would definitely go back even with a wait because the burgers are that good.

PEOPLE WITH CHILDREN, BEWARE.I didn't actually eat here, but really wanted to try the burgers as I heard they were pretty good. We met friends for lunch at 12pm on a Friday. They had their 11 year-old daughter with them. When they approached the entrance (before we got there), there was reportedly a lady in the front who told them they couldn't go in with the daughter. Apparently, in KY, if, "bar" is in the name, then no one under 21 is permitted to enter, even during the day. Our friends said the lady was abrasive in her tone and not very kind about it. We were disappointed, to say the least.

Bartender was John, very friendly and service was very quick. Food was hot and fresh. We both got hamburgers and fries. Would absolutely go back.

My wife and I took a day trip to Paducah. We were wandering around lower town just doing whatever and I saw that this place was open. "let's stop for a drink - it's 5 o'clock somewhere". We went in and were welcomed by John, the bartender. She order a Makers with a splash of soda, I order an Old Fashioned made with WT 101. I watched him do the Makers - splash! I complimented him - most people hit the soda gun for about an ounce of soda - he did the perfect splash. Then I watched him PERFECTLY make my Old Fashioned. If you drink them, you know doing it right is an art form. So tasty! As we left, I told him if I lived in town, this would be a hangout. Great experience, tho I can only speak for our drinks.

Mixed review but no fault of the establishment I don't think. My new boyfriend and I greatly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food, the burgers were excellent and are better than just "bar food", I'd suggest the double cheeseburger, my boyfriend had trouble downing the entire triple! The bad part of the review is that when we stepped outside to have a smoke we were accosted by a virulent racist whose photo I have added to the outside photographs as a warning. We were minding out own business, talking to each other, and he came out of the bar shouting about needing another jack and coke, when we glanced at him he took noticed and began asking to bum a cigarette, we declined him and he began calling us poor, white N-words! We asked him politely to stop but he refused, then he started squaring up to my boyfriend, but he was clearly 4 inches shorter and badly drunk, my boyfriend just held him at arm's length as he swung his fists like a cartoon, it was very bizarre behavior. Be advised to steer clear of this man!
