The service here is excellent. My waitress Sarah was very attentive. I came in crazy thirsty, drinking a lot of water and she never let my glass get more than half empty before she refilled it. She was friendly and gave good advice about the menu and explained the live music set up and timing when I asked about it.As I moved here a couple of days ago and I'm living out of a hotel until my belongings arrive on a moving truck, and I'm eating a lot of food out. I could say before this restaurant I was a little disappointed in the food I was trying at restaurants that had been rated five stars on yelp. For example, and it didn't happen at this restaurant, I had a Cobb salad the night before that relied on gobs of cheese to please, which shouldn't even be on a cob salad. But enough, groaning and moaning, and back to this restaurant.I love seafood, and I got the seafood appetizer platter. It was really good and I was quite satisfied. I started eating it and I thought now this is what I've been hoping for in a Jackson dining experience rated with high stars on yelp. I am looking forward to coming back to the restaurant and trying more of the items on the menu as there were many things that looked good.

Came here one night on a Friday. I was surprised to see that it was so dead. They had someone playing live music however there were only like three tables listening. The music was very good and the musician was very talented. The service was not that great. I was able to see why maybe the restaurant was a little dead. however it looks very nice. The area seems safe and the food was good. The chicken was juicy and had good flavor and so did the burger. I think the price was decent for the food. I think they are trying to deliver more with this restaurant however, the employees are lacking. The front desk host seemed to be very bothered that we were there, after we waited for about 10 minutes for her to even show up at the front door. (Not exaggerating) during the time no one has been in initiative to seat us.

Awesome! I love this place. The food is great, everything I've had has been great. The staff is friendly and very attentive to your needs. The atmosphere is the best with music some night there is live music with a piano player. Great place even though it is a little pricey but every where is pricey now days.

I was on a cross country road trip and found this spot. Beyond delicious! The forge burger was perfectly cooked and came this waffle sweet potatoes fries with Carmel dipping sauce. Trust me you won't be disappointed. Fair price for the quality. I sat at a booth in the bar and people were friendly bar tender was kind.

The food was so good. I've never had a pork Ribeye till today and it was so good and had so much flavor. My husband fillet was very good as well very flavorful the broccolini was so soft and delicious as well. The chips are homemade and the chipotle ranch is so good that comes with them. We got strawberry cake to go and it doesn't taste like most strawberry cakes do it is very soft and not over powering and very fluffy!! The Service do not even get me started!!! The service was great and the young lady who waited on us was very sweet and patient with us since it was our first time and always checked on us to see if we needed anything. We will definitely be back and bring the in-laws the next time. This restaurant was very clean and really nice for where it sits at!

Food was OK (not exceptional but OK) but the service was severely lacking even after a conversation with the manager.We ordered lunch and the first of the food took over 45 minutes to come out. I initially got my ahi tuna salad but then had to ask for my gumbo on the next visit from the waitress. The most complicated thing we ordered was a burger and a baked potato. We had a pretzel, salad, soup otherwise so I can't imagine what took as long as it did.The gumbo was good. The ahi tuna salad greens and dressing were good but the tuna was a little more than seared.I've heard good things about the place but they definitely had an off day when we were there.

I come to The Blacksmith every time I'm back in Jackson visiting family and they never disappoint. Located in a growing downtown, the interior is warm and friendly, the service from the wait staff is fantastic and relatively fast, and the food is always hot (and incredibly delicious!).If you're in Jackson looking for somewhere to eat that isn't a chain, The Blacksmith should be your go to. Support local and stop by the farmers markets across the street then stop on in for some fried green tomatoes (sorry, no Kathy Bates or Jessica Tandy to be found) and southern hospitality.

Food was amazing will definitely go back if I'm in the area again Nice atmosphere and very friendly waitress

Ambiance was good, food was great. Our waitress was great also. The only problem we had was the hostess was unacknowledging and rude, arguing with other employees and didn't even seat us.

We're traveling with a dog, the patio was perfect! Food was excellent, Cosmo was the best drink ever!Our server Rachel was amazing and took great care of us.
