The Angry Possum

I have to start eating healthier, so I had a chef salad and a cup of gumbo. Salad was a meal in itself with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, ham/turkey, etc. Very good and filling salad for lunch.Unfortunately, the salad was more than enough, and I could not try the gumbo. Fortunately, our waitress was very innovative and gave me a large Styrofoam cup as a Togo container, and I had it for dinner. Very, very good gumbo!Great food, great service, patience required for food prep, but the delivery is on point a great meal!The (assuming) manager came around and checked on us and was very hospitable.I will go back next time I am out here. Sorry, forgot to take pictures other than of my receipt!

This place was great! The variety of grilled cheese options was unexpected and delicious. The service was great and friendly. I'll be back!

We stopped for lunch while on the road. Great staff, great food. Would stop again. Wish they would have had more t-shirts available.

Food was good but very overpriced for this area 2 bowls of soup, 2 house salads, a soda and a glass of wine $45? This isn't the big city

We had dinner at The Angry Possum this evening. The building and the decor are so cool...the food not so much. They're known for their special grilled cheese sandwiches, so my husband ordered a brisket grilled cheese. I ordered a pastrami Swiss grilled cheese, but the waitress came back over to tell me they were out of pastrami. She recommended the salami and gouda, so I ordered that. You know it! She came back to tell me they were out of salami too. I ended up ordering the brisket grilled cheese. We finally got our food and were pretty disappointed because the brisket had no flavor, and the bread was very greasy. At least the fries were tasty. Our waitress was very attentive, however I watched another waitress use her vape pen several times as she walked back to the kitchen to pick up food.

Was very disappointed in the service. Went in for a couple of beer and appetizers. Had one beer and never was asked if we wanted another or was able to order appetizer.

Excellent cheeseburger and great seasoned fries. Service was very good and nice, clean place. Definitely recommend and will definitely go back to try their salads.

Really love the food and the staff is super friendly. It makes for a nice lunch spot or a fun night with karaoke or live music. Nice wine selection and beer on tap.

They have some really neat grilled cheese combinations, I just wish they had an option for bread other than sour dough. The staff is friendly and quick to get your items to you. The salads were really fresh! I would recommend staying away from the hamburger steak. It is tough, grainy, and basically takes like a frozen dinner Salisbury steak.
