Terrace at the River Inn

Enjoyed a farewell dinner at the Terrace!! I love the view from this restaurant and they have great appetizers and entrees. We arrived at opening which is 5PM. Ordered drinks from Anthony who was a cool bartender!! We were a party of ten or so and was ready for adult beverages on a Friday evening after a long work week. Victoria was our server and she did an amazing job managing our party!! We started with appetizers . . . Lamb sliders, spring rolls, pimento cheese balls, shrimp and a charcuterie board . . . Yum yum!! For entrees most people ordered either the filet, the salmon or the salad. All very well made dishes . . . Everyone seemed to enjoy!! Thank you Terrace, Victoria and Anthony for a great evening!!! I highly recommend the Terrace for a great evening of dinner and drinks!!!

Very nice place, food was great, servers very nice but we waited 15-20 minutes to order or even speak to a server, place wasn't close to busy. As far as location and mood, it was great. Overlooking the river, watching the bridge lights. Great place except for slow service

Don't get me wrong, I love the Terrace Grill but on New Year's Eve , I had the worst experience . I do not know if it was over booked or short staffed but I've never been so disappointed. I dined -in with two of my friends and did the 3 course NYE menu . My first plate was the crab cakes with corn, the crab cakes and corn was room temperature. It wasn't fresh at all. My entree I ordered was the Filet Mignon with Lobster. My steak wasn't cooked at the right temperature. After-that, they ended up taking it back and accidental gave me someone else's plate. I wasn't happy with my dessert either . The strawberry crepe seem to be undercooked as well. I did enjoy my cocktail, I always order the upside down cake martini and it was delicious.

So I forgot to make reservations for dinner. Been a tough week working hard. Wanted to go out with my wife. I got it! Let's go to the Terrace Grill. Great location. You can eat a great meal and watch the sunset over the MIGHT MISSISSIPPI RIVER! Nice! We had a wonderful time. Nice vibe. Enjoyed the crowd and food was delicious. We had the steak. It was prepared the way we like it and was served with "blackened okra". Not bad at all. I didn't hate it. Next time you are out and would like casual this is a great spot.

Came in to catch the game. The food was pretty good tonight & the drinks are standard as well. The shutters were open so it was nice to feel the natural breeze. Service was a bit slow, but we still had a good time. This is a convenient spot for us and a laid back vibe.

Great view, otherwise mediocre at best. Food was deeply underwhelming. It was fine but just fine and in some cases less so. I had the salad with salmon. The salmon was fine but the salad had tired wilted arugula and canned mandarin oranges that were so past their prime that they had that disturbing tingle in the mouth.My friend had the beef sliders and she said they would be better as racquetballs. Another friend had the herb chicken and liked it. My other friend had the "homemade" spring rolls. She said they were dry and hard. Nobody at the table bothered to finish them. Shrimp dish wasn't bad, and the spinach artichoke dip was tasty. Service was polite and friendly, but inattentive and slow. Wish we had gone elsewhere.

Really beautiful setting but overpriced for sure. We waited over an hour for our food, were charged for something we didn't order, and did not get our water refilled enough. Our waiter was overworked and it led to other issues happening. We probably will not be back - we came for date night and it's definitely more of a social setting for groups of friends to drink and share plates.

This is my second time here and had a much better experience this time! Our server was kind and attentive. The view is beautiful looking across the river! Drinks are either a hit or miss but depends on the flavor you're craving. Wish the menu was a little bigger and offered more vegan options. Ambience is cozy and intimate and music is great! Parking can be tricky

First time visiting this place Very low key and nice. Also have views of the Mississippi River. The Food and service were good.

If you are looking to hold an event at this establishment PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE. This place will take your money and not be held accountable for not delivering on what you paid for including food and service. The staff is absolutely incompetent and the managers are children who are going to run this business straight into the ground. I've have tried multiple times to reach upper management/business owners and have been unsuccessful. This is another place in Memphis that will most likely be closing soon. If you are having an event that is special to you, please DO NOT have it here. You will be Highly DISAPPOINTED.
