First time here. What a gem! Thursday Acoustic night was so good. Friendly bartender and house manager. Pretzel bites were tasty. My husband had the smash burger with onion rings. Good food was delivered very quickly. Pool tables, games, high tops, low tops and bar seating. Looking forward to coming back when it's warmer and they open the garage doors.

The management is extremely rude! My desert came to me frozen. When I told my server and ask if it could be thawed, she was very apologetic and took it with her to thaw. I saw a lady at the bar stop her and they spoke. The server brought back my frozen dessert telling me her boss wouldn't allow her to thaw it! Wouldn't allow it!! I will never, ever return to this establishment!!

Nice local bar with decent pub food. Salads sandwiches and burgers. I had the patty melt on a dark rye which was very flavorful. The bread was fresh. I also got the potato wedges which were great! The mixed drinks were ok. Some strange flavor combinations didn't quite hit the mark. If you want a good burger with a beer I would recommend.

Nice new spot for Old Hickory! Food was fresh and service was great! Prices were reasonable! Not a whole lot of on tap beer options but good full bar and can/bottle options.

As locals would know, this area has been a desert for what seems like decades for any decent restaurant beyond fast food. Although I've only eaten lunch here twice, their Reuben is one of the best in Nashville, and their burgers are considerably better than the ones served at the nearby, members only golf club. Too new, I suppose, to have a big crowd, and the service & wait time is subsequently, spot on.

Attentive and professional service each time we've been there. Great environment for a family lunch or evening out with friends. We've enjoyed the fried mushrooms, cheese curds, brisket sandwich, grilled chicken quesadilla, Reuben and several cocktails. Would highly recommend trying them out.The nachos didn't hit the spot for me when I tried them, but don't let that stop you from trying them out.

ZERO STARS!!! We will NEVER return to Tavern @ The Village in Old Hickory. We brought our party of 18 to an early 5:00pm dinner to celebrate the birthdays of 2 family members. We chose to go because we had been before, with our family, and the food was good and a nice, clean restaurant. NOWHERE does it say that this establishment is adult only or only a bar. It is obvious that it would become an adult environment later in the night with more of a bar feel, but from our impressions, it seemed like a new small business, family-friendly restaurant, at least in the day and early evening, in the Old Hickory community and we like supporting small business. While there tonight, the owner (no uniform to indicate she worked there, sitting at the bar with friends) rushed toward my 10 year old daughter, SCREAMING at her to stop as she was touching a Jack Daniel's statue in the corner. I was already headed toward my daughter myself to ask her to keep her hands off of it. I was MUCH nicer to this screaming owner than I wanted to be after she just yelled so loudly at my child that it caught everyone's attention who was in the building. Before and after this incident, the owner and her friend, then continued to "stand guard" in front of the games because kids are apparently not allowed to play any of the games or play pool, including my teenage son and cousin. While standing guard, the friend continued to touch my 2 year old cousin's hair, which was weird and inappropriate, and then told us it was a bar and the kids weren't welcome. She then started a whole verbal altercation and our party left. The bartender told us that they were "not running a daycare" and to "take them to Chuckie Cheese" as we were leaving. We had 5 kids aged 16, 13, 12, 10 and 2. We were all watching our children who were very well-behaved and not causing any problems. I feel so bad for the servers, who were excellent. They did an amazing job and apologized several times for what was happening. As a business owner, it is absolutely fine to make your own rules and make your business what you want it to be. If they didn't want kids to enter the establishment, they need to make it clear that it's 18 or 21+. They treated our family disrespectfully and were very clear that they didn't want us there, even after our well-behaved party of 18 ate, drank and paid for our meals.WARNING for all families or anyone who cares about supporting or non supporting certain small business owners.
