Best Tamales Ever! This place is actually El Salvadorean not Mexican, so the food is a tad different. For example, they don't have al pastor for tacos and other things. They also had a ton of things I had never heard of. It's great though. I just wish I was able to try it! They were all out of most of the things I wanted to try and said we should come sooner. They're open M-Th 11-8 and F-Sun 10-9. I will definitely stop by here again though because their tamales were amazing. I usually don't like the tamales wrapped in banana leaves but theirs was so moist and tasty I just loved it.Hubby and I returned hoping to try some more stuff and found out half of their menu (mostly all the really authentic Salvadorean stuff) is only available on the weekends. Bummer! But we got to try the amazing passion fruit drink called maracuya. It's so freaking good, hubby and I definitely competed over who was going to get the most. I didn't like the pupusa and I don't think I'll like any of them because they're all pretty much the same with some different ingredients- cool if you like it, not so much if you don't. To Try: - Nuegados- RiguasLoved: - Maracuya (Passion Fruit) Drink- Tamale (in banana leaves)Didn't like: - Pupusa de Queso con Loroco

This food truck was the 3rd and Final stop on the Tamale Tour that Yelper Kristina organized a UYE for. I was super-psyched as I encountered a dish called "pupusa" which I'd never had before and later found out that it was specific to El Salvador. The food truck has a couple of picnic benches available and these are located a little bit away from the road, so it not very noisy and actually a pretty decent place to sit and eat.For my order here, I got the Cheese and Bean Pupusas and a Chicken Tamale. The Tamale here didn't have the pale yellow corn colour of our 2nd stop on the Tamale Tour, which was Emilio's, but instead had a tinge of red which I quickly realized was the chili flavour, after my first bite. But the star here is truly the Pupusa! It was just superb and the pancake like dough in which the queso cheese and beans were stuffed, was crisp and wonderful. I'm so planning to come here again! Best of all it's not too far from my work location so I plan to also bring my work colleagues here for a team Friday lunch, to check out the wonderful menu items. Also a special shout-out to the lovely ladies cooking the food - they were super patient and friendly and helpful with explaining the food items to us.This food truck took me on a journey to El Salvador without my having to leave Memphis and that what I love about encountering new-to-me food items!Yelp Review: 24/2017

Liked the tamale I got but downside is they run out of stuff way too quickly so we couldn't try a ton of stuff we wanted to.*maracuya A drink sweet drink similar to horchata from other trucks. Maracuyathis is a specialty drink to Centro America el Salvador. Passiflora edulis is a vine species of passion flower that is native to Brazil, Paraguay and northern Argentina. Its common names include passion fruit, passionfruit, and purple granadilla.

Yum Yum!! El Salvadorian food that is delicious! I'd been searching for Pupusas locally since having them on a trip out of town & found authentic ones here. The chicken tamale is large and wrapped in banana leaf - moist & amazing :) I will be back very soon to try their other foods on the menu. (This is a food truck style place)

Everything tasted very fresh. I order a Torta (Pollo) and 2 tacos (asada and pollo). Since it was so hot today, I brought my food back to the office, otherwise I would have sat there and ate it. For those that haven't been, its a trailer in the parking lot, so there isn't much room to eat there (3 bar stools). This place is close by and definitely worth the money. I will return soon.
