Taqueria Guadalupana is a simple, authentic Mexican food restaurant. No special ambiance or service, but the food is good. My only complaint is the price. I went for lunch and ordered a #3 and a Coke. I missed the red flag of the absence of posted prices. " That will be $23.25."WHAT?!! And that's without a tip!

I stumbled across this place when I got tired of going far for tacos. I think it's a decent quick fix. Their steak meat has a good amount of fat in them (not a huge fan of that). Their salsa is great! I am a gal who loves rice and beans with her tacos and boy did they deliver on that! The rice and beans are very flavorful. The nachos are not good, I think the cheese had a very weird taste. Overall, if you come here just get the tacos!

"Nah, Mexican doesn't sound good."...said no one ever! Driving back to Memphis from Covington and saw this gem before jumping on 240. I've heard about it and thought it was a great time to stop in. Great service! The location was nice and clean. The food was seemingly authentic and very tasty. Price was doable for most of the menu. The dish I got was a little pricy, but proved its worth in flavor and portion size. They first brought out free chips and mild salsa and a spicy salsa verde. The main dish was spicy steak and shrimp (carne diabla) with rice, beans, avocado, fresh slices of tomato and corn tortillas. The spicy sauce on the steak and shrimp was delicious! Definitely spicy, but more flavor than pain...Loved it and hope I can find the food truck closer to home soon!

Ok. Here goes. Part of me wants to give a low score and part of me doesn't want to hurt three good score they already have. They do things a little different here and I can't blame them for my ignorance. The place is a little dirty but health department score of 96. The food is different and while the menu does explain some things, most of it I had no idea what it was. The waitress tried to explain but couldn't. I literally just picked something at random. I ordered a taco just to keep it normal but it was even not what I expected. If you know what to order you are in good shape but if not , do some research first. There are some pictures but the quality is lousy. The menu says prices are subject to change without notice. They can Bill you double or triple so be sure to be nice and don't complain. She brought a small bowl of salsa and did not offer to refill.I asked for a coke and she brought me a 12 ounce can so no refills. I asked for tea instead. All in all the food was excellent in its own way. I'm always looking for something a little different and this is it.I would eat here again.Tip: I think it would improve your business if your menu was more American friendly for ignorant people like me.

I've been here about three times. My husband likes this place, and I am not a big fan, due to previous times that we have been to see tables stacked with dirty dishes (which sat for about 20 minutes before anybody came to clean up). He really wanted to eat here for dinner, so I agreed sticking to the basics when I ordered. The chicken burrito was good, and I like that they were not stingy with the cheese and sour cream. I also liked the salsa...wasn't too hot. He had the steak tacos, with a corn tortilla (ewwww). I tasted the refried beans he had with his meal and I did not like them (watered down). If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place to be. I guess I'm more of a tex-mex kind of gal.
