Taqueria El Primo Express

This is a five stars for a hole in the wall experience. The food is ready very quickly. Napkins, straws, and utensils are conveniently located in the middle of the restaurant. The menu is displayed on the walls with some of the dishes displayed in pictures on the windows outside the restaurant.I moved to Tennessee two days ago, so I had a little bit of trouble finding the restaurant because I didn't realize that it was next-door, in the same building as the gas station. So plan ahead if you're coming during typical meal times as the parking is extremely limited and you may need to park around the corner and walk back. Or just get takeout.

Their birria pizza was so good!!! You definitely get your moneys worth. I can't wait to try other items on their menu.

Excellent food, Excellent Prices! My mom and I stopped by on our way back home from Asheville, NC back home to Sherman, Tx/ Durant, Ok. We read the reviews and decided to give it a try. It is EXCELLENT Authentic Mexican Food. My mom and I know Mexican Food and this is A+. Just wish their were some chips to go along with the salsa. Don't be alarmed when you stop by, it is small and behind a convenient store, just off of I 40. Thumbs Up!

I eat here 3-4 times a week. It's just that good. Staff is always friendly. Food is great and prepared quickly.

A first time experience for me! The ambience was super nice and service was great. They got our food out very quickly too. I tried the pastor tacos and carne asada tacos. The carne asada was pretty good, but I thought the pastor was way more flavorful. This is a great place to go to if you're on the go and want something a little more authentic. It's very affordable as well. Excited to come back and try their other stuff!

Always so good and so fresh every time I go!! If you want reasonable prices and DELICIOUS Mexican food, then do not hesitate to stop here! They never disappoint me!

As others have indicated, do not let the outside fool you. This is good Mexican food. The service is fast and friendly. It is a very small restaurant. Very good food and highly recommend if you need it quick bite of good Mexican food.

It's a small restaurant next to an old gas station. Don't let the outdoor appearance scare you away. This is some of the best authentic Mexican food I've eaten. I've had both the carnitas tacos and the asada tacos with rice and beans. Both were outstanding. I've been working on a project in Jackson and look forward to eating here whenever I'm back in town.

Good food good service the place follows the rules

Great little taqueria in Jackson. They used to be based out of the red food truck out front of the BP station there, but now they have a real brick and mortar restaurant built in behind the gas station with their own entrance. They do tacos with a lot of different meats if you like traditional Mexican food (i.e. real Mexican food...not Tex-Mex). They have pollo (chicken), barbacoa (slow cooked shredded beef), lengua ( beef tongue), cabeza (beef head meat), tripa (intestine), etc. Pretty neat if you like to branch out and try new things. They have some great tortas too and they serve a wonderful authentic menudo soup on Saturdays. Check them out. You wont be disapointed.
