Nice service. The gumbo was good. The fried shrimp were a nice size. I was expecting something different though, not that frozen battered kind. My son ordered steak. It looked delicious. He's the steak eater. He said it was way too tough to chew. The appetizer (fried green tomatoes and mushrooms) were good. I'd go back and get catfish next time and the gumbo.

The building is rustic and the parking lot is full of stray cats. It's clean outside and inside. The customer service is very friendly. The owner very welcoming. The food is so darn delicious. They have great fried catfish meal and gumbo. Oh my goodness for the cooks. I recommend visiting this restaurant.

We go almost every Friday night. Absolutely love this place. We ask to sit in Christy's section. She knows our drink order, knows how it names and is always super friendly and on point. We've never ordered anything that wasn't delicious. Pricing is fair. The entire staff actually act like they care and move their jobs. You won't be disappointed.

Took family of 7 out to dinner. 5 of us ordered steaks and the steaks were not cooked right. Wife an I ordered 32oz for two. Asked for medium rare. It came out well done. They brought out another well done. Told waitress we did not want the steak an we were not going to eat it. She said they will take it off the bill. Got to register and an older lady was rude as could be. We were charged fulm amount. We will never be back.

Tags is a great place to get home-cooking at a reasonable price. We have always had good experiences at TAGS. Senior plates provide just the right amount of food at good prices. Down home country environment that makes you feel comfortable.

I have been to TAGS in Hamilton, (a family restaurant), numerous times as I have had several nice catfish dinners there. However, the last catfish dinner I had the fish was cooked so crispy and dark it was not good at all. The salad, and baked potato were both good. I went there on 29 July 2023, and had a Oyster Po'Boy sandwich, onion rings, and a salad from the salad bar. The most detrimental takeaway from the meal were the salty oysters, they were uneatable. I have never had oysters so salty before. The other thing that was disappointing were the flies at the salad bar and on my table during my meal. I noticed several patrons that were shooing the flies away at the salad bar. I will never go back to TAGS for three reasons.... the fish I got on my previous visit was way too crispy and hard, and should never have been plated, and on my LAST visit, the oysters were "beyond too salty," and lastly the flies were running rampant... it appears the owners do not want to invest in some sort of fly deterrent system.... I don't mean just one fly, they were all over the salad bar and I saw numerous ones at my table... also, it would be a very good idea for the cook to occasionely taste an oyster for salt content..... The servers at TAGS were very good and always have been, but I cannot say the same thing for the skinny crone at the cash register... she was quite sour and unfriendly.... maybe the flies were bothering her.... One last thought, next time you go to TAGS, and are driving in around the back of the restaurant....look at the trash pile.... and let your mind wonder...... "are these flies and the flies inside related"..... Goodbye TAGS!!!!!

Great food, great service. Small town feel and an atmosphere to unwind and enjoy your meal.
