Taco Nganas

I pass by this food truck all of the time and my daughter enjoys the tacos so I decided to give them a try. I ordered a Barbacoa, Pollo and a Pastor Taco. Placing my order was a breeze, the employees were very friendly and helpful as I was deciding what to have for lunch. There are a few tables and it's very comfortable if you care to eat outside although most people get it to go. They give you a buzzer to alert you as to when you order is ready so you can just relax and wait in the car.I got my order home and I really enjoyed it, my favorite was the Barbacoa and my least favorite was the Pastor I would not order that again. To be fair I enjoyed the Barbacoa Taco so much that I've already gone back before posting this review. There are a lot of places to get good tacos nowadays so No, this isn't the Best I've had but it was good!

The BEST birria tacos I have ever had! Taco Nganas is a food truck that has 3 LOCATIONS (pictured in the photos). This location in Cordova is in the parking lot of the Malco theatre. There was outdoor seating available, which I recommend doing if you live far from any of the locations as the tacos taste so much better fresh! They could get soggy. I had the chicken, shrimp, and al pastor tacos. You can't go wrong with any of the meats! They have a wide selection of Jarritos drinks to accompany your meal. You can taste the authenticity and the consomé is a must-have to pair your tacos with. I had three tacos and was comfortably stuffed. They may look tiny but they are packed! It comes with a slide of slaw salad that is super tasty. It was quick, delicious, and I would recommend visiting any location that's nearest you!

Shrimp taco were decent. I love their shrimp burritos but I chose the option to get my burrito extra grilled and they grilled my shrimp hard. So make sure you specify!

Update...I knew the day would come when the mystique would wear off. Yesterday was that day! I ordered my usual shrimp tacos and pastor burrito. The shrimp didn't have that nice grilled flavor. The shell tasted as if it was pre-soaked in oil. The pastor meat was old. To be honest, this is the first time I can say the food was not good.

I have been eating these tacos for years! However, today was a disappointment. I paid for 2 TACONGANAS & instead got 2 street tacos with cheese on top. The tacos weren't grilled and they weren't dipped. Got the order REMADE, just to be told this is EXACTLY how they are made. Which is NOT obviously true considering they look nothing like the taconganas advertised online. Again, disappointed. It's obvious the employees just don't care anymore.

The taste of the food is pretty good but the food and or shells are very very greasy (dripping oil). The service is ok. The ambiance is.. well it's out side. It's some what pricey for what you get. I probably won't be visiting this place again due to the food being so greasy, but it was worth the try.

Best tacos in Memphis. It's outdoors, but you're there for the food. I'd eat there anywhere.
