Stumpy’s Backyard BBQ

For this town, this BBQ is great! It's the only Bbq that isn't fast food in the town. The portions are great, prices are great & excellent service! The servers are very friendly and stay on top of their tables. The BBQ sauce could definitely be improved but the meat itself is very juicy and tender; definitely not dry which is great. We enjoyed this causal BBQ restaurant!

I would absolutely highly recommend this to anyone in the West Memphis area looking for an interesting meal! I truly enjoyed my meal: the smoked balogna sandwich with house slaw and a side of the BBQ spaghetti. Please give it a shot!!!

Huge portion of nachos with plenty of toppings...server was absolutely wonderful...nice and relaxed place...highly recommend!!!!

Would rate 3 1/2 stars if could. There's many different styles of BBQ. Everyone has their preference & Stumpy's just wasn't ours. But it may be yours & you just need to try it for yourself as alot of folks really like it. My pulled pork was on the dry side & spouse's bbq bologna was so thick a slice, you didn't get the taste of the char. Sauces were on the sweet side & we like a more vinegary style sauce. Portions were very generous, service was friendly & efficient. Restaurant was clean. Have a variety of menu items if not into BBQ. You just need to try Stumpy's for yourself.

The entrance to the rear is super clean, the waitresses greet you on site, and you feel like you're welcome. Sorry about the half eaten food, but I was hungry while my phone was loading Yelp. The food taste is perfectly blended. Added sweet and mild sauce. Have not experienced a single bad taste at this establishment. A must eat! Don't take my word for i, just ask around. Thanks for another wonderful experience you guys!

Absolutely the best 5 Star review I have ever tried and exceeded the reviews. Great Memphis BbQ place been open 8 weeks according to the bartender. I got the Hawaiian Pulled pork sandwich with the Jalapeno Pineapple slaw. There #1 Entree stellar and decided to get the Bbq Spaghetti for my side. A Smokey BbQ Marinara sauce with a heaping of pulled pork on top of that as well. Great flavors. They had their Mild, Sweet and Slow Heat BbQ sauces to supplement and all tasted great. The Sweet the best but the slow heat not ridiculously hot more like a spice hot. I would recommend this place right next to the Dollar Tree, East of Marion Arkansas. It may look just like another shopping mall storefront restaurant but they got great tastes inside. Stop in if your passing through as was from St Louis to Dallas. Just at the confluence of 55 and 40.

Just passing through on our way back to Waco, TX...read the 5 star review and just had to stop in and try it out! This is an amazing family owned barbecue restaurant! Great customer service and the food was amazing. Generous proportions of amazing 'cue!The Loaded Mac and Cheese was creamy goodness with loads of pulled pork on top. The pulled pork sandwiches were stacked with pulled pork and the best slaw. Beans were yummy as well. Don't forget to order the nacho platter piled high with barbecue goodness topped with jalapeños. Fried pickles were a treat as well!The sauces were outstanding especially the slow burn. Don't miss this stop on your way to wherever you're headed! And don't be hesitant to go in...the decor on the inside is worth the visit too!Stumpy and Kelly his wife even came out to greet us! Thank you for a wonderful dinner...!

customer service is amazing! fast coming out! i got loaded mac and cheese it was made with seemed like nacho cheese and i'm just not a fan- but not bad at all overall a great meal! and couple of others at the table got the loaded potato and that was absolutely delish!! very family friendly ! one of us got the Hawaiian sandwich and she LOVED it! the pineapple slaw is different but in all the good ways! reasonable priced food and great atmosphere! 9/10 experience! the sauces mild- wasn't a fan of nothing bad but it wasn't as spicy as i like slow heat- AMAZING! exactly how it sounds. sweet at first and hits ya but not bad! stumpy and kelly are the sweetest dessert: chocolate and peach cobbler- oh. my. goodness. hands down the best cobbler i've had

What a great place! It's only minutes from west Memphis and well worth it. The owner met us at the door and welcomed us in. Kelly was just down home friendly and let us know that the brisket was sold out , we opted for the pile driver sampler platter and man was it worth it. The pork was tender and Smokey (a tad dry), the ribs were delicious and tender, even the bbq bologna was great. The Mac and cheese was my favorite side of all. We went back a second time and they were sold out of brisket again (perhaps they should do a second cook for more).. overall the food and friendly people make our experiences memorable. We even brought them our old license plates to hang on the walls!!

Great food - very accommodating staff. Loved the wresting ring that's made a great photo op!
