Famous Pork Steak. More like a pork roast. Very tender, juicy and flavorful. Enough for 3 meals, comes w/3 sides. Go for it!
That's a big ole pork steak!
Pork steak, okra, two helpings of scallop potatoes, & iced tea. Excellent, as always.

Hidden gem alert.I was headed to Bham from St Louis and someone told me this place was famous for its legendary pork steak. Naturally, I drove a good bit out of my way to investigate this pork steak for myself. It is in fact legendary and you should go here for yourself if you're ever within range of this place. To start, it's in a very small town and the vibes are as down-home as it gets. It's got a solid menu of recognizable bbq options and plenty of seating to accommodate your group. It's clean and the people are as friendly as could be. Service was quick, prices were beyond reasonable. Now on to this pork steak. I, myself do not have a lot of experience with pork steaks so I'll do my best to describe what I had. It looks like a steak. It weights 2lbs. It's on the bone and fork-tender. The fat is rendered perfectly and when you go at this thing with a fork and knife, it basically falls apart into what you'd normally find on a pulled pork sandwich. It was smoked beautifully, it was flavorful and delicious. I'm never going to forget it. I understand why they're famous for it. Just amazing. The au gratin potatoes were excellent as well and I'd definitely order this plate and everything on it again. Long story short this is an out of the way, hole in the wall kind of place in a small town. If you're passing by on the nearest interstate, it's worth it to plan a little excursion to it just to take in the deliciousness that they're providing. 5 stars all around.

Ordered the pork steak, scalloped potatoes, and okra to go. I plated it when I got home and the pork steak was so tender it fell apart with just a fork. Phenomenal pork steak. Highly recommend to anyone in the area or passing by, even if it's a little out of the way it's definitely worth the stop.

If you're a Cardinals Fan, this is a good place to go. If you're a BBQ Fan, this is a good place to go. If you're a BBQ AND Cardinals Fan, this is THE place to go! Today we had the Smoked Pork Steak. A 1" thick slab of deliciousness! By far, the best we have ever had. Service was good, and price reasonable!

Going downhill fast. Just a well known name living off and outdated reputation. Scalloped potatoes came out all but icebox cold. For the first time ever my wife and I both HAD to cut the pork steak with a knife. It tasted like it was cooked in an oven. This was not bbq. After waiting 45 minutes what a letdown. Even the toast was burnt. We live within just a few minutes of this place and ate here many many times over the years. I'm not sure what has changed so badly in this place in recent years. But it isn't the same place anymore.

Terrible service, Had to wait 2 hour then the girl told me she hadn't put our order in. Chicken will give you food poisoning btw. We left without getting any food at all. The 5 star reviews are bias and liers.

Service isn't the best. The staff almost seem annoyed when you ask questions or request something of them. They also don't typically go out of their way to make you feel welcome. If you're looking for southern hospitality, it won't be found here. However, the pork steaks make it all work it!! These things are absolutely incredible and so tender that no knife is needed. They offer 3 homemade sauces but there's no need because the meat itself is so flavorful. They come with 2 sides and an amazing piece of Texas toast slathered in butter. I ordered the baked potato and okra and both were delicious. The portions are very generous and there is plenty to share! The prices are very reasonable! The entire meal I just mentioned is only $12.99. In the unfortunate event you arrive and they are out of pork steak (yes, this happens on a regular basis because of their popularity) I can also recommend their filet. Everything I've ever tasted here seems to be made with love. Make the trip, it's worth the drive!!

The cooks were on top of their craft. The food was fantastic but the friendly wait staff really made up feel welcome. I can't wait to drive back for more. It's only an hour and 20 minute drive ther in

I'm from West TN. I know what good pork barbecue is. You won't find it here. The pork was dry and had ZERO flavor.the baked beans were tasty, as was the fried okra. The barbecue nachos suffered from the tasteless main ingredient(it only had chips & cheese sauce---sour cream & jalapeños were on the side). Service took FOREVER and then our order was incomplete. They do have good StL Cardinals decor! So stop in, take a look around, then drive to TN or AR for good pork barbecue.

I'm from North West, Indiana and I have never had a bbq sandwich liked that. I was quite surprised with the taste of the sandwich because it didn't have much sauce, but what really impressed me was the burnt ends. Chicagol-Land don't have many places who bbq sandwiches has burnt ends.
