Stone Pony Pizza

Went there today, yes the pizza was great. But the waitstaff clearly didn't no their sections. We waited and waited for someone to take our order. I had to flag some one down to wait on us. There is no excuse for the employees not getting along that the customer should have to suffer. Grow up guys.

We were in clarksdale for one night as we were driving through. Unfortunately we arrived on Tuesday and pretty much everything in town was closed down in this mostly ghost town. After much looking online for something we found this place. I am gluten intolerant and really should not eat anything wheat, but we had no other choice. So I took a bunch of gluten pills and took a chance. We had a pizza with olives, onions and peppers. It was good and fit the need to get us fed after a day of driving. I was still hurting a bit the next day, but survived to write this review. The pizza was fine and if you are in town this would be an okay place to go. I give them extra credit for being open and no one else seemed to be.

Seen the pictures on Yelp and I was drawn there, just opening the door you feel like you walked into an Italian home the smell was amazing.When you taste there food you know you picked the right place to eat I got my food to go and sat across the street where they had a couple of tables at a nice little park this is a great place to go and eat.

It's unfortunate to have to leave this review but we left the place very disappointed so I have to write.The service was decent at first but became very slow as we ordered.For some reason even after waiting a while, my son and I got luke warm meals, and mine was fettuccine Alfredo- NOT a good dish to serve not as hot as it should be.So, my husband had to wait even longer, but his food arrived much hotter.No check until after our server cleaned a table after we were done eating and we had to get a different server to ask for ours to deliver our check please.Then she said "I was just about to check on you." But she hadn't.So I told her that I wished she had checked on us as the food my son and I had was actually luke and not hot.She barely apologized, and waited as my husband got cash for the check.Instead of bringing back change, she stayed at the back of the restaurant talking to another waitress for so long we decided she had kept our money as her tip.Since it wasn't 20% anyway (closer to 10%), perhaps she thought we had tipped and we just left.It had been a long enough wait already.

Came for dinner after arriving I town. We took the outdoor seating which was really great. Our server was Toni, she was great. Quick and friendlyOur pizza was great. We haven't had pizza in months. It was really just what we needed. My only little complaint was that they ran out of Stella. NBD though. Highly recommend!

Only stopped in to grab a garden pizza to go to eat at The Shack Up Inn on a Saturday night. Pizza was very good and hit the spot before drinking and dancing.

Extremely friendly staff, great food, and great atmosphere. The night I went (Wednesday) was trivia night. Everyone was having fun and the atmosphere was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and engaging. A great place to hang out with friends or coworkers. The food was equally impressive. We devoured the Pony Fries. And the JoJo pizza was awesome. Often times small town pizza places use generic ingredients and the flavor is bland. But not the Stone Pony! Highly recommend.

Located down town Clarksdale is Stone Pony Pizza. Although, I did not get pizza. I got their so called "plate lunch". It's not on their menu. It's on a small sheet of paper. It changes daily. Anyway, I got their hamburger steak with gravy, potatoes and gravy, butter beans along with a corn bread and sweet tea. I have to say I enjoyed my lunch today. See photos I took. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted and asked if I wanted to sit at bar or a booth. I chose the bar since I was by myself. So, the bartender was my waitress. She took care of me and took my order. They were fast in bringing my lunch as it came to me within a few minutes. The bar is really nice. It's big and has plenty of room. The bar can easily sit 20 or more people. They also have a nice selection of beers to choose from. You can ask for their beer menu or you can easily look at it via photo I took of it while I was here. Just zoom in and you can see what is served and their prices. Yes, I will definitely be back after I get off work another day. This might be the "hot place" to go to on Fridays or Saturdays.

Stone Pony is pretty good, I enjoy the wings and the hamburger steak. The fried pickles are yummy too. They have a few different good items. Drinks are good and the atmosphere is cool, and the often have live music. Service is always friendly too.

Tried this place on a whim and we were very disappointed. Wife ordered catfish, two small fillets small portion of fries and two hush puppies with a side of slaw. Fires were cold and soggy, fish was undercooked. I ordered their stone pony burger and boy what a let down. Unseasoned frozen flat patty of beef, appears to be from a bulk bag at Sam's Club. Minuscule amount of cold soggy fries also. Not what you expect for $16 when reading the menu description. We did share an order of cheese curds for an appetizer that were surprisingly good. The styrofoam cups with their logo were messy, the ink would rub off and get on your hands and clothes. Service was slow, waiter explained they were short handed and had an usually larger than normal crowd. He was pleasant but clearly overwhelmed. We will try elsewhere next time we visit Clarksdale MS
