Been wanting to try this for a couple of years. With it always being crowded and my vegetarian daughter having limited options, I finally was able to convince my son to go on Friday after the egg bowl.After a longer than expected wait, we ordered almost as soon as we sat down and the food arrived timely.I chose the Waffle Platter with Scrambled Eggs, Grits & Sausage. The waffle and sausage would have been plenty. I can see why they are known for their Duck Butter Syrup. It is definitely better than your typical maple syrup. The sausage was really good too! Eggs & grits were ok but I couldn't finish them.Service was typical of any local cafe, no frills but fast.I can see why there seems to always be a line out the door!

I do not recall a visit to Starkville without a visit to the Cafe. Absolutely love this place and all it's about. Breakfast here should start your day off right. Friendly busy service with "cafe" menu offerings warms my heart.I was fortunate to sample a new item this trip. Tomato gravy biscuits. If you like any of those items and it's offered you better try it. It was so dang good! If I'm lucky enough to get back to Starkville again, you can bet I'll be having a breakfast here.

It is always a joy to come here! The people are kind from the customers to the servers. The food is always amazing and never disappoints. Me and my family always come here when we visit Starkville, it's the place we all agree on!! We always take a bottle (or 2) of duck butter home!

Need I say anything more than "duck butter" with my pancakes?Ok, I'll add that the coffee was served in a cup that might date back to the first non-indigenous peoples. Authentic!Expect to wait your turn -- they move at the South's pace, not like NYC ... I think that's a plus.

Had eggs, sausage, hash browns, and toast. Sausage was GREAT. Asked for hash browns well done crispy. Server put it on the ticket. Completely ignored by the kitchen.Wife's french toast was quite plain - just bread thrown on scrambled egg. No powdered sugar. Minimal effort. Bland.Waited a LONNNGGG time for our food.

There's always a wait on weekends, and they don't stay open all day. Friendly, small town feel though. Food is good but nothing beyond typical dinner food. Overall, it's a starkville staple and worth stopping in for some coffee and breakfast

Starkville Cafe has a great blue plate lunch special every day, and also a lunch or breakfast menu that you can order from anytime. The waitresses are so attentive and helpful. Brittany, Shirley, Kimmie, Arrington, Gloria and the other waitresses are the best.

A place that always feels like home, from the staff members to the already seated customers. They all know each other and bring you in instantly. Every server I've ever had has just been the sweetest. You definitely get the feel of an older hole in the wall place but that's just the charm of it all. The food is never disappointing and the duck butter is stupid good. Many of my friends, from all over, have received duck butter as a gift and they agree as well. Great place you will not be disappointed in and you will leave pleasantly full with a smile.
