Stanford's Drive In Restaurant

This place is horrible. The wait time at 1:30pm was over 30 minutes and there were only 2 other tables with customers. The hamburger, onion rings and drink was over $12 for a tiny burger and the taco salad was not even edible. We took it back to the counter and told the girl that it was too salty to eat. She apologized but didn't offer a replacement or refund.

Rude staff. I couldn't tell you about the food because the staff ruined it for me. I don't see how an empty restaurant can treat the only person walking in like they are annoyed

This is a great catfish and local eatery kind of place. Staff is always friendly and the food portions are filling. The best homemade onion rings you'll ever eat.

We came from out of town (from Texas) and stopped by Stanford's. We are so glad we did! The catfish was a delight! Crispy and light, perfectly cooked catfish served with Cole slaw and a baked potato! The salad bar is simple, yet just right, for a quick salad. The restaurant was clean and the service is good, we never had to request anything, it was always taken care of; from Regula, to condiments, it was all handled. The food was delivered to my table hot and fresh (and we even had a table of 11 of us). This is actually not my first visit here, as we had been once before for a large get together, but this is the first time I've been in a while, and it's good to see this place still doing great!! We will definitely be stopping by Stanford's anytime we are in Amory again!

The food is pretty good, catfish and chicken are fantastic, the salad bar makes me a little nervous, and the place could use a seriously good cleaning and dissenfecting, very sloppy cleansing procedures, having the toilet right next to the salad bar is pretty uncomfortable, but overall the fried food tastes pretty good.

Where do I start.... Got there and ordered our food took 30 min to get it out to us. Not to mention the food was cold and they didn't get the orders right. Ordered a Plan cheese burger with nothing but meat and cheese but it wasn't plan also ordered a hamburger steak and it wasn't cooked fully. The tea had black stuff in it which looked like the settlings at the bottom of the jug. There was hardly anyone in there. The woman's bathroom there's no paper towels and the toilet won't flush. They never even came back to see if we needed refills. The overall looks on the outside the place looks abandoned and inside it's small and the atmosphere was uncomfortable.

My wife and I grew up in Amory. In the 70's it was Stanfords or Pickles. We were back at home visiting our families and decided to get some catfish and Pickles was closed so I went to Stanfords for take out. The fish was so over cooked it was inedible. Growing up with the Stanford family I never would have believed the food could have been any worse.

if i could put zero stars i would. they really went down hill but the pickles are very good. probably because they're store bought.

I had dinner here for the first time in years tonight... Not even sure why it had been so long. I had recently seen where it had been voted as having the best catfish in Monroe County- pretty impressive for an area filled with so many local establishments. The food is really good. I'm pretty certain you won't be disappointed...
