Sr Jose Mexican Restaurant

11/24 some friends and I decided to try the New Mexican restaurant downtown! Upon entering the establishment we were greeted and quickly lead to the bar area! The flooring, wall colors, table etc immediately catches your eye Very different, nice and clean!!! It was not too crowded and no reservations are needed. The Malibu Rose was a hit! The bartender was very attentive although she was alone. For my entree I got the enchilada Verde( 1spinach enchilada, 1chicken enchilada, 1beef enchilada w/rice and beans) I didn't get a picture but IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! One friend got wings( you can mix the wing flavors) 4 Buffalo and 4 lemon pepper! Second friend got shrimp tacos w/fries.... Another person at the bar said the Mexican fried rice and steak tacos are good The atmosphere was very pleasant!!Most nights this restaurant closes at 10-1030pm and opens around 11am. This Mexican Restaurant is new and replaced Pickled Okra restaurant. I came here with a friend and she liked it. She said she will come back. However, the only reason I came here is because my favorite Mexican Restaurant was closed. Anyway, service was pretty good here and the food was really good. However , as far as service is concerned, they forgot to give my credit card back. And I didn't notice it for 2 days later. I checked and this was the last place I used my card. At lease they were honest and gave me my credit card back. I will tell you this . They seam to be a regular at keeping customers credit cards because they have lots of them in their cash drawer.

Took our family of six for dinner. Quick and attentive service. Good food. Good chips. Good salsa. Everything you need in a solid neighborhood Mexican restaurant.

I recently visited Sr. Jose in Cleveland MS and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a great meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Our server was Saide and we loved her. The menu offers a fantastic selection of classic Mexican dishes, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The fajitas were sizzling and packed with flavor, the tacos were perfectly seasoned, and the homemade salsa had just the right kick. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back!
